And still a big fat no from me. I prefer the opposite - interesting trail features, but not tumbling death exposure....

 

Another good one! It was so nice being back on Strawberry a couple weeks ago.

The beauty of it all is hard to ignore. Therein lies the problem. You have to ignore the beauty, lest you get distracted and plummet to your death. I do think you'd really like the Red Box to Switzers section of the Gabrielino.

 

The interesting trail features on the loop are sandwiched between several miles of death exposure on each end.

Heh, that’s the thrill! Bombing down MSM and trying to clean most of LSM is always makes my heart race.

 

Wait a minute... I was told by a very wise local @Luis in December of 2015 never to go down LSM. Leave it to the hikers! You're not the Storm Trooper on the DH bike who almost took me out last July, are you?!?!

And I say... Strawberry + The Front Range is as good as Palm Canyon. It, literally, has everything.

Ah... ok... Then I still have a ways to go. I still can't get up the staircases. I get one or two steps, and then the motor runs out of gas. Surprisingly, I clean about the same on the geared bike or the single speed. Damn motor.

Wow! I got to get a new GoPro.

Yup! I get sweaty hands watching my video’s after I ride the trail. I’m so focused on the trail I don’t see the non trail stuff... like cliffs.

Thank you sensei. But I make mistakes. Every ride. And I don't want to pay that price for those mistakes. And - as Steve said - the trail itself isn't that interesting, but the view is!

 

We all make mistakes, every ride. I giggle in my videos when I make mistakes. And, I'm all about stopping to smell the roses along the way.
