Big Bear/Snow Summit Friday 9/11/15

Heading to SS for my B-day. Planning on a lift assisted day with the possibility of renting a DH bike. Come on up and help me celebrate! [emoji512]

2nd day of school for me - perfect day to take a vacation day and ride! OK, maybe not, if I want to maintain employment. And I do.

Anybody know when the lifts start weekends-only? In the past it was usually around sept. 1 but last year it was extended until sept 15. Couldnt find that info on their site.

 

FYI It looks like after labor day (7th) the lift will run weekends only. On their site, if you try to purchase lift tickets for the 9th it wont let you. But for the following weekend, (and the previous Wed) it does. Unless they plan on extending it and thats not on the site yet. Maybe call and verify if itll be open on the 9th or not.

I'll be in BB from 9/2 though 9/9, but not sure I can ride on 9/9. Supposed to be heading home that day. . . . Gears are turning. . . . (figuratively)

 

Looks like I may have to change my riding plans. Thanks for the info.

 

I emailed Snow Summit and got a response regarding their schedule. September 7th (Labor Day) is the last weekday for lift access however they will reopen Friday September 11th for the weekend. Mikie, please change the title to read Friday September11th. Thank you.

10 acres gone to second alarm and torching a 1/4 mile ahead. Moving towards Summit. Operations at Summit have been suspended and park is being closed for today.

 

Someone thought the jumps were too lippy and tried to burn them down....
