This is my favorite vehicle I’ve owned, if for the trucknics alone. Rugrat’s favorite too.

with luggage rack... My very first car was a yellow 914 2.0, which I started with when I saw them autoxing
at OCC's parking lot. Then came a green one later.

Flat tire on the drive home from the desert today.

Yeah, big deal, right? YESSS!!! My Honda does not use TPMS gauges inside the wheels. It uses a system that detects an imbalance in the axles. If you get a flat and your tires are worn to some degree (not new), you have to replace two tires if your flat cannot be repaired. Otherwise, the system will detect an imbalance through the uneven tread height between the old tire and the new tire on the same axle.
    :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::gag::eek::mad::mad::mad:

And, when one sensor goes off, several others usually follow since they are tied together. So, my instrument panel is lit up like a Christmas tree due to a simple flat tire. o_O

That seems odd. Did you reset the pressure warning sensor after repair? It should then detect them both as good.

Every time you add air it needs to be reset.

I have the CRv also, did have a low pressure warning once, but no flat.

Yes, I know about resetting the system. But as I said earlier, newer Hondas do not measure the actual tire pressure. They measure the balance on an axle (between opposing wheels). No more TPMS. I've read complaints again and again on the Honda forum from owners who had to replace two tires to achieve an acceptable balance in the system and not continuously set off an alarm.

The moral of the story is, don't get a flat tire.

Your car is new. Its under warranty.
Go to the dealer and make them fix it. If that is the case it is entirely unacceptable and needs to be corrected by them.
Make it clear that this is not in the owners manual, and of it is make them show you.

Rant over, I do really like my CR V, a lot, but despise car dealers and their scams.

I love my MGM color and those bed decals came off on the first 110 degree day here, and there was almost no residue.

My truck came with black badges which I liked and I bought probably every Meso Customs chrome delete part including the rear view mirror blinkers. I even wrapped the hood scoop black.

Dude. You kind of just ruined my day. I did the black badges, and got a black grill bezel from an SR5 to replace the chrome bezel on the Offroad grill. But, in complete defiance of my car OCD, I never even noticed that tiny chrome strip around the blinker on the side mirrors. With it being encased in the actual blinker, and barely noticeable against the silver paint, I probably won't take action. Probably. But it's totally going to bug me. Sigh.

Believe me, I went right to their page to see what you were talking about, and then out to my truck with a flashlight hoping the chrome was a Sport phenomenon, and not on the Offroad. It does seems like an easy, and relatively inexpensive solution. It's funny, I can barely be bothered to wash the truck, and have had a cracked windshield for 6 months, but the chrome will eat at me.

*sidebar, if you have the adaptive cruise with the windshield mounted camera you REALLY don't want to get a cracked windshield.

My truck is a 19 and they don’t have the mounts on the windshield, my co workers OR does though. If you want to delete the chrome inside, I have an extra set of door handle covers you can have. It’s for all 4 doors and takes 5 minutes to install them.

I loved this stupid little car.

Don't know what I'll replace it with. Looks like an ambulance will be my daily driver for a while.

@Sidewalk hope you're okay. I believe he'd said in the past that it was a Ford Fiesta or a Focus? Those tires look pretty new too. And I just noticed he'll need a new bike rack as well.

    Was a Ford Fiesta.

I'm in a lot of pain. I saw the guy coming. I was at a complete stop in traffic on the freeway when he swerved into my lane. I actually hit the emergency flashers before I saw him to warm traffic behind me of the sudden stop. I saw how fast he was going and knew there was no way he'd be able to stop in time, even if he hit the brakes right then. So I put my head square against the headrest, arms gently on the steering wheel, foot on clutch/brake, and waited. He never even hit his brakes, 65 MPH right into me.

What is his condition? What you describe has never happen to me, but I find it hard to imagine a scenario where if I could walk I would refrain from trying to kick his ass.
