Wife procured as a Christmas present, and one of very few forks AFAICT for 26" systems. Installation was rudimentary, good looking if you're fond of black, inexpensive and functioned well on B* last night. Seems like a good option for skill-challenged riders like me.

Post a photo of the bike!

I have a Fox Talas 32 140mm with tapered steerer, mounted on a broken frame, with very little potential for future use unless I procure another 26" bike frame with tapered head tube. I already have three in-tact 26" frames, none of which would be good candidates for the fork.

@fos'l doesnt have anything with a tapered head tube. Bob is old school.

My [wife's] hardtail and my [nephew's] mighty Giant have straight steerers and are still in the rotation. My 26" Fox Talas 140 with tapered steerer is too advanced or too short for any not-broken bike I currently own. Any old-school equipment in my garage exists because it's already paid for.

One of the most plush forks for a 100mm xc 26r. No dialing for compression damping but you can but you can achieve some just before lockout. Scary internals as all your weight rides on a plastic air spring shaft. Served me well however, no problems.

Are you referring to your Giant AC that has a 2" wide headtube? Can easily fit a tapered into it.

edit: or is it a straight 1.5" HT? still...

Hmmm...I did some research and find I would need an external lower bearing, which would raise the head tube 7-10mm and therefore offset the difference in the shorter fork travel. Good to know there is potential for compatibility for the Fox Talas 140.

CHSP today (ranger station up southridge to four corners and back, then around Scully); the fork seemed really good. thumbnail (6).jpeg

Still functioning "perfectly" (for me) and soon to be joined by a 29" brother (impending birthday), as I put my Niner scandium back in service.
