I have to fight the urge to push the motorcycle riders from the trail when they pass me on the trails and not the legal fireroads.

I was coming back from old camp just past Cadillac and heard a motorcycle coming up Cadillac....

Be careful out there... they are in areas they shouldn't be... very dangerous.

@konakc The dogs love the lake. Best workout ever... toss dog toy as far as possible into lake from swimming pier, watch dog dive in, retrieve, swim all the way back to shore. Repeat indefinitely Only downside is that after about an hour they start getting mud on the pier.

We've been going up to the state park and beaching the boat on a sand bar. Dogs fetch toys while adults float around on ski vests.

It would be more about what type of vehicle you are interested in. Most of the manufacturers have at least one decent car they make but none of them win every segment.

Have to admit - not a big Garmin fan after they moved their headquarters from the US to Switzerland to avoid paying US taxes.

 

YIKES... thats the reason i couldn't post my ride thru Oaks yesterday... my connect app kept telling me they were experiencing an outage. Guess i'll have to manually create my 10k+ elevation gain through Oaks... or was it only 1k+...hmmmm

 

Can't blame the players (taxpayers) for using our own tax code to avoid/reduce their tax burden. As long as our tax code allows those strategies, then we will have those strategies being used.

In general, I don't disagree with your statement. I certainly pay the taxes I owe... but not a penny more

However I think there is a big difference when you pull out of the country to avoid paying taxes, while still continuing to operate domestically as if nothing has changed. It would be similar to Mark Zuckerberg living in the US until he was a billionaire, and then deciding he wanted to become a Swiss citizen... while still maintaining dwellings and living in the US.

The USA imposes Expatriation Tax on all citizens who renounce citizenship. There is no avoidance of tax... and going forward the foreign citizen would pay income taxes on all USA sourced income.

Any foreign citizen with income sourced to the USA will pay income taxes on those earnings. I handle many foreign clients with US sources of income who file a federal tax return and pay their tax on those earnings.

The US tax code applies the same to all citizens of the world. Not just the wealthy.

It would almost make more sense to release interest of the ransom held data and start over from scratch.

 

Or better yet, hold onto the data that is being held ransom and continue to fight back AND start with clean slate, like a 2nd chapter, to get things going again for us Garmin Connect users.

 

As long as they get paid it will keep happening. Dont pay and reset. Go back to the last good backup.

And why the heck can't they find them anyway? Put the 10 mil toward a reward to bring the criminals down. Bet someone finds them then....

Cybercrime is no joke. A lot of it is done by very savvy people in countries with fewer economic opportunities and they are far-ahead of the agencies tasked with tracking them down.
