Been seeing the leaked pics for a while.....gotta admit, I didn't like the looks.

However, it's growing on me. Really diggin' the 2 door.

    The Sport....meh.

I like the old ones A LOT, so I love that they kept the look similar. Very cool!

I dig 'em, but man, that's a very niche market that wants to buy a true rock crawler/desert racer. The suspension looks fo real! I predict a FOMO surge of sales - must have - be the first on my block - then a sharp decline.

I read once that wrangler buyers don’t cross shop other cars, they cross shop ski boats.

Maybe the competition will bring some sanity to Jeep pricing. $65k is a lot for a wrangler.

What I want is the Suzuki Jimny that the rest of the world has...

    From the Ford Website:

    Ready for fun: Class-exclusive features designed for life on the trails include safari-style roof enabling class-leading headroom and a cargo area high enough to hold two 27.5-inch-wheel mountain bikes;

no word on whether 29ers fit...

My boat carries 16. I don't know how many 29ers that would be... but it is about a ten minute boat ride to the state park :)

That would be a cool vid for the social media fans - boat pulls up and a bunch of bikers hop off.

This isn't a re-branded Escape though, Escape is built on the C car platform. Monocoque (unibody) construction used by vehicle lines like the Focus / S-Max / Kuga. This Bronco is using the Ranger platform, completely different, body on frame being the big one. That'd be why they can get away with things like cutting the roof out. Do that on a unibody and the thing will probably collapse in the middle without a heap of structure being put back into it!
I'm stoked to see the platform getting some additional models. The Ranger is a brilliant truck and its nice to see it expanding the line-up in the US. (Biased ex-Ford Ranger worker here :) )

They don't. I saw the video. Very tight with the smaller wheels. Just another reason to go (back) to 27.5!

Internal combustion vehicles are a concept that will be fading out.
In 10-15 years they might be our weekend play things, but not used for regular commuting.

Ford is trying to squeeze a few more $ out of it, but they know that electric is the future (look at what all car companies are investing in).

Note that they rolled out three vehicles, the 2-door, the 4- door, and the Sport. The Bronco Sport is a crossover.

I’m holding out on replacing my family truckster to see just how much the long-range versions of the Rivian truck and Hummer EV are going to cost. Not expecting them to fall into my price range though.

The issue with the new Bronco is that... it's a Ford.

Someone had to say it, right?

Bravo for the sweat equity! But absolutely, positively no!!!!!! :devilish: Get your work done and get on your bike. Then do a report (with a home improvement sidebar if you must :)). Or say F it and keep taunting and turning the thumbscrews...some of us love to suffer. :p

Just got back from swatting mosquitoes at Peters Canyon, when I noticed Jupiter was moving kinda fast...that’s no planet, it’s a space station! Brightest I’ve seen it in a while, and visible until it set behind Pleasants Peak.

now to go find that comet!

saw a gaggle of e-bikes heading into Santiago Oaks as I was driving by this morning. Pretty sure they're not allowed, and pretty sure they didn't care.

What caught my eye was that no one appeared to actually be putting any effort into pedaling.

He claimed to be one of the property owners out by Sierra Peak. He claimed to have permission from CNF and OC Parks. When I asked which property, he didn't answer.

He passed me as I started to climb out of Hidden Ranch, then I saw him again as I was dropping down Skyline.

Pretty sure his moto is required to be street legal to ride out there....which it wasn't.
