Who's Riding Where???

Legs are toast after a 65 hour workweek. Flat spin over to Corriganville to play around on the rocks. Hopefully the legs will have recovered by tomorrow.

 

I'd like to ride the Meadows loop this afternoon. Anyone know if Top of the World is open yet?

 

Monday, Las Virgenes Open Space. Me and.......the Mrs. Ever the toe dipper, she wants to take another crack at mountain biking. Rentals/demos in size small and extra small are hard to come by around here, especially these days, but I was able to arrange for a Pivot Switchblade in size small. She'll be over biked for sure, but the other choice was a Lynskey Ti hard tail with a 2X drivetrain and no dropper. Kind of a flip of the coin, but I think she'll appreciate the smooth ride. This will be interesting, but I'm quite stoked to give it a whirl with her.

 

The BB bearings on the road bike don't feel right when I spin the cranks. The mtb needs to be stripped down and cleaned. The gravel bike has a flat rear tire.

Tomorrow morning is ride time.

Wednesday in Coconino NF looks primo. Not sure the route yet; solo and engaging sounds nice.

 

While the Hooligans are plotting an all-day fiesta in Big Bear Saturday, the League of Consultants will kick-off at the Arroyo Trabuco Saturday afternoon. Representatives from engineering, utility, environmental, GIS, and cyber security sectors will rendezvous somewhere along Trabuco Creek Road between Oso Parkway and Crown Valley Parkway for a voluntary safety break and bicycle ride. O' happy day!

 

This WE should be insane with crowds anywhere near a population center, maybe elsewhere, too. What's your trick for not getting mobbed? Night riding? Pre-dawn start? Ride really fast? What da plan?

I have to get the weez out for some weekend fun. I'm avoiding Arizona's 15th largest city and third largest metro area, Flagstaff. (Good as the riding is.) It was plenty "crowded" for my taste yesterday. Kicking it down to the 85th largest largest "city" and adding dirt to the drive should decimate the crowd factor.

 

Hey @mike - honestly, it gets pretty empty after 11:00 am on the weekends around here. I know you're not around here, but still...you asked!

 

New trail off Rocky Peak. I'll add to it to get some climbing in.

 

One last run on some sweet AZT and new dirt on Elden Mountain with bonus summit. The Smash needs a chain, so I'm forced to ride the sultry ti number with one gear. Boohoo.

 

Alright screw it I'm doing lower gab trail tomorrow morning but staying away from Ken Burton...

Considering you've been doing cherry canyon, I would just do an it and back on brown mountain.
Lower gab is probably more beginner than cherry.......

 

Lower Gab trail all the way to brown mountain dam. Started going up the upper trail but I got too tired, it got too hot, and to be brutally honest did not feel confident climbing it yet. Good practice today for next time. Not too much mileage but I had fun!

Last Sunday, but I’m up for it again this coming Sunday if there’s interest.
Or anywhere else for that matter.
My son and I installed the trailer hitch on my car so I’m good to go

 

I'm all about something, GE or otherwise. Would be good to ride with an IMTB'r or two for the first time in 7 months.
