Memorial Day 2020

For those who notice...

Let's remember those who gave their all for you.

Let's remember that they didn't have to...anyone serving now is voluntary.

Let's remember not to waste their lives.

Let's remember.

To those who didn't come home....and to those who are still out there.

 

Amen to that!
Freedom is not free.
Something America is beginning to forget. But let’s not forget our true heroes!

 

Thank you for the reminder, and thank you for your service.

I will take the time to remember, and to thank those who do the thankless so that we may pursue the ideals expressed in the Declaration and the Constitution.

 

My father came home... others did not. I wore MIA bracelets as a young boy for father's in my neighborhood.

I don't really think I understood then...I do now.

 

For those who remain to thank, your dedication and service is appreciated. For those who paid the ultimate price for my freedom, I am forever in your debt and you will never be forgotten.

Update for 2023: Another Memorial Day weekend. Hope we can enjoy the BBQ and try to remember why we remember it.

At least on this anniversary we (the US) are in a better place than we were before.

Europe appears to have some lessons still to learn.
