Riding in Buellton area?

I'll be up in Buellton for training for work the week of March 9th. Thinking of bringing the Yeti with me and wondering if there are any suggestions for spots to ride? Or if anyone is in that area and wants to ride...

On the list! Haven't been there since I was a kid.

 

If you have the time, a 1 hour drive (65 miles) north to Montana de Oro (near SLO)

 

Rode in Lompoc a year or so ago. Mostly fireroad and really sandy in the area around Vandenberg AFB. Luckily I had a local guide, otherwise I would not have been able to find the trails. Lots off off the menu stuff. May be more in the hills around Solvang?

 

Truth is there just isn’t much of anything to ride around Buellton sorry.

I was just talking to someone this weekend in Tachachapi ironically about Mike Hecker. I thought I heard him say nothing is happening out there any more, I can’t remember why though?

 

There is one trail that heads out by Cachuma up the big mtn to the south. it goes all the way to the top. Starts by the scout camp sign. There are a few trails up Paradise valley from the dam. Even Upsed could get enough distance there. There is also two big hills one from the top of Camino Cielo down to the santa ynez river and another from the north side of the river well into Las Padres where you start at a hot spring.
