This is a classified ad for the weez's Bronson. Most of it, anyway. The brakes were stolen off it. :) And it will need a saddle and grips. Other than that it's a complete bike that was cutting edge a handful of years ago.

    bronsonV1medAlloy.jpeg

    2015 Bronson alloy/Fox Float Evolution
    Rockshox Pike 27.5 150mm non-Boost, 51 offset
The bar and stem mountainbikej gave me, Raceface 50mm stem and 800 x 35mm alloy bar. 60 x 31.8 mm stem optionally, but you'll have to have/get your own bar
    Derby i35 32h AM-layup/DT Swiss 240 non-Boost/180mm Icetech rotors/GX driver
Minion DHF Ardent Race, both 27.5 x 2.8 with lots of life
Rockshox Reverb stealth with remote, has never not worked perfectly and comes with a dropper stopper. I think I have fluid for the remote, which I bled once
XX1 of the era 175mm crank/30t/11-42 cassette has life
    XX1 of the era shifter/derailleur

All sound mechanically and working perfectly. Cosmetically very imperfect. Fork had service within the last year of its retirement, shock never serviced but works normally as far as we can tell. Pivots were great last time I aired down the shock. All tested and approved by the weez and many of the components by myself. :geek:

We were going to hand this down to the weez's nephew, but int'l shipping is a deal breaker, and at this point the kid will be outgrowing it in like a week. Instead, I'm going to work with a LBS over there and then we'll have him drive over to get his birthday present.

I'm willing to pass this stuff on very economically. Not listing a price, but it will be ridiculous if someone is truly interested.

The wheelset is incredibly nice. I ran it on my Bronson of similar vintage. If someone had eyes for those by themselves I would let em go on their own.

Hit me on PM if you are serious about any of it. I am. :geek:

PS: The wheels just went up for sale on Pinkbike.

It could pass for a small frame by some current “standards.” :geek:

She is 5’ 2.5” with short legs and long arms. The bike she is on now is considerably larger. That version Bronson has a fairy compact cockpit and low standover. It did loads for getting the weez where she is now – double awesome. :D:inlove:

Maaaaaybeeee.... Wife's on an XS Titus Motolite right now, so a medium Bronson sounds too big. She's 5'3" - torso longer than legs (like me, but downsized and a far better human).

FWIW, wifey is same height as your dot with long torso and arms. She was on a XS Flux, then moved to a S 5-spot, which turned out to be almost the exact same frame size as the Flux. Then the 27.5 wheel went on the front...uh oh... :geek: V1 Bronson has a pretty compact cockpit. (I get to hop on my old large once in awhile.) So it was not a big leap from “XS” to “M” for her.

Funny anecdote: The weez and I both riding “medium” frames for awhile. Now she rides a small that’s bigger than her medium.:unsure:

Another day or so and it will be liquidated on Pinkbike. Anybody needs anything, get in touch pronto.

    Pardon this commercial interruption...

The crankset is earmarked for a good home. (Thanks, pal.)

    What's left:

    Frame/headset/Shimano BB
    Pike RCT3
    XX1 Shifter/der
    Dropper 150 Reverb

I need Boost DTS 240 hubs, 32 hole, if somebody was looking to barter. :geek:

    Frame and fork sold.

Haha, cheap gear brings out some interesting characters... Like the guy that negotiated a package deal then came clean that he didn't have the money. A perfect application of: Wish in one hand and shyt in the other – which one is more full? Or the guy who used two different names demanding proof of no dents on the frame drive side, after I stated plainly there are no dents anywhere on the frame. Snooze and lose. A day in the life, eh?...
