All roads heading up to Chilao are closed right now

 

Grasslands has reopened?

 

Last I saw, a sign stated that Hwy 2 was closed at Clear Creek.

 

Smacking like a pipe dream, but I can ride tomorrow and Tuesday for sure.

Its easy. I drove to CA and back today.

 

I'm riding Tuesday, but on snow (with equipment designed for snow sliding) with a couple of friends. Phoenix would have to be towards the end of the week - so not an actual New Years' Eve/Day ride.

It was closed?

 

After the fire, I heard that it was closed due to extensive fire damage.

 

That was over a year ago. It's open.

 

Seems logical.

I haven't done the entire Millennium loop since I did the group ride there with you. I have done the Colossus loop a few times as an add on after the Cheese, though.

 

What do you all think that are joining of maybe a Cheeseboro Trail loop with maybe a Dead Cow/Suicide loop and then return via Sheep Corral to Cheeseboro loop to parking area? Then if we want more adding Millennial, if really ambitious? What is a good start time?

 

Im out. Not riding well. Been eating too much crap this holiday season and its affecting my ability to ride.

 

Me and @UPSed were talking about Chesebro also. Pretty sure that's where I'm heading on NYD. I gotta be rolling by 9am, latest. Earlier is better for me.

 

Best solution to eating too much and being a little out of shape is to not ride?

 

No sir, I am actually riding more, but in shorter spans. These group rides are competitive and they always move faster than I usually ride, even though everyone says it will be a mellow pace before they get started. I am not feeling well enough to push hard. I am however very interested in burning calories and exercising my legs but at a more gentle pace. I will ride tomorrow and on NYD and I rode today, as well.

I'm still thinking @buggravy's loop. Start at the end of Las Virgenes @8. Edison into the park then Sulphur, Sheep, Palo, China Flats, Palo, Sheep, Las Virgenes and out. We can add or subtract as the group wants.
