Who's Riding Where???

After riding Cannell yesterday Jennifer expressed interest in getting more experience with the chunky stuff so tomorrow I'll be taking her over to Rocky Peak where we will ride Chumash, Johnson and Lower Stagecoach.

After several years I finally convinced her that a dropper post will help her in descending that type of terrain. Of course that was a few weeks ago and I dropped the ball not ordering one in time for Cannell. I ordered one for her as soon as we got home today.

 

We will have a group ride out in Cheseboro when it cools off a bit. It's coming, be ready!

 

@pdqmach26 & @pperrelle will be coming in next week as you're on the way out so make sure to post up your rides. We're going in mostly blind.

I resisted the Dropper for about a year until someone, after being bombarded by others, I respected said the simplest thing, "Mikie, a dropper post makes it even funner! You want to have fun, right?"
How can you say no to that? "No Jeff Sherman @jfsh, I don't want to have any more fun than I am now, buddy..." See it just doesn't work.
Get he dropper, learn the dropper, enjoy the dropper. You will be amazed how much it assists with eating up the chunk!

After sooo many years on a hardtail then getting a full susser and loving the crap out of it, now going back to hardtail. I think the thing I have missed the most on these epic rides is the dropper. Especially descending The Plunge! My local rides are fine, but the Plunge, SART and Snow Summit, the dropper was missed big time.

 

My home truff, need to go back out and see what is new.

 

But you got local intel working for ya. You guys carve out some plans so I can start bragging about what we’re riding.

Put a dropper on that bad boy! I have a 150 TRS+ on my Fuse and I'm loving it. I even run a dropper on my rigid hardtail occasionally.

Exploration Thur morning with TTB and Ron

 

Around Lake Tahoe again. Not exactly the Lake Trail, but adding and subtracting here and there to make a blissful ~four days of so-called self-supported bike travel on much dirt from Truckee to Truckee. Water will be everywhere + Steripen + stove + dehydrated food = bivy anywhere. Light sleeping bag like last year. No date set, but soon.

Hey @rossage and @Luis: Big Chief to the Legacy River Trail finish sound acceptable?

 

Still pining for two long ST routes that roll off the north rim (my bros @Luis and @rossage got eyes on one).

Tomorrow AM: Go get one of em.

Dammit you beat me on the downhill. That whole 20 feet of elevation gain must have hurt...you darn shuttle monkey. Whatever my PR was on my 100mm Kona a few years ago so now it's time to go chase the ghost of Luis. I sure hope at least you stopped for a half gallon of ice cold beer at Mikes afterwards or you may have to turn in your man card...
