Riding in Pismo 6-10th

I will be in Pismo from the 6-12th wanted to see in anyone will be in the area to go riding during the week. One thing is I cannot go the 11th which is my wifes 40th B-day and so that is a no go and Sunday we are leaving. So this will be during the week only. Going to do my normal rides like Hazard Peak, Irish Springs, Madonna Mountain and West Cuesta Ridge (TV Towers). Thanks in advance.

You need to go one of these days, there is a lot of great riding out there. Maybe next time. My wife said thanks also.

 

Do you go up there a lot? I used to live in Morro Bay and I have been running back up there lately. I'd love to hook up soon. Can't make this one.

My daughter is going back to school, and I'll bring my bike along with all her $hit.

 

That would probably be me. I was there two weeks ago. May be in a week or two, I will head out there again. I usually campout in Pismo for a week and go riding daily with a local friend.

How does the Pismo Preserve ride?

 

The Preserve ride is great, it's not that long of a ride, but you have to do the ride with a docent on a scheduled ride.

You missed the preserve ride, and they are cancelled until further notice. But there is plenty out there to ride.

 

There must be something specific that they are protecting if it's a docent guided ride only.

Well they are supposed to open it to the public, but they were supposed to build the parking lot and restrooms at the bottom. It’s just taking waaay to long for this to get done.

The trail itself is a multi use trail, and they have hike days and bike days. I really don’t know what they are protecting.

 

If my memory serves me, its been open for at least one year now.

So, right, what in the heck are they protecting???

 

No even earlier, I went in 2016 for the first time. I have been there 3x since. Don't know whats up there to protect.

 

I had a legitimate sneak preview invite for the week before it officially opened by one of the trail builders but he got injured and we had to cancel. I guess it was sometime in 2016? It's been way too long since I was there. I should be going every year. Heck, I have free room and board pretty much any time I want to go. It's just that life keeps getting in the way.
