    i upgraded the fork in my SS so this has to go.

    The fork is In overall good condition.

    There a few scrapes and scratches in the lowers.

    The uppers are showing a slight bit of wear(the black coating is discolored).

    It has been well care for. I have done regular 50 hr servicings as a well as all the major servicings.

    Fresh seals and oil done last week.

    So let’s talk spec’s:

    29er
    32 mm stanchions
    130 mm travel(will include 140 mm air spring)
    Tapered Steerer Tube 178mm long
    Solo Air
    Motion Control Damper
    Low Speed Compression
    Rebound

    I’d recommend running the pressure on the lower side. There is 1 token in it now.

    Fox Float Evolution CTD something or other. 100mm travel, 32mm stanchions. It was what it came with.

    After today's pedal strike on the same dang rock I've hit multiple times I'm thinking I should slap a Fox 40 with about 203mm of travel on my Hightower.

    You may also wanna swap the middle stem spacer to the top of the stem to compensate for the longer axle to crown height.

    Or not.

    Yep, was 100mm now 130mm. I have no idea what I've gotten myself into, and I'm sure the geometry will need tweaking in the near future. My bike is now not just more capable than I am, but way more capable than I am. Can't wait to hit stuff to test it out. :sneaky:

    I'm gonna give it more than a couple rides, and I may end up cutting the steerer shorter. Just have to see how it rides and handles as is first.
