I HATE, LOATHE and DESPISE you!!!!!

It's like watching the Patriots win a Super Bowl. I just expect it now. @mike you are truly amazing in the quality and quantity of your riding.

Did I mention that I am going to ride a trail I've ridden 10,000 times with about that many people tomorrow? Yes, I know, we all make our own decisions and priorities. I still wouldn't trade my life for anyone else's. (Or would I?)

@herzalot, you can not detest me at least for today, seeing how I made a deal with the devil: Bail on my pal to spend the day with the wheez and the nutter twins, and then pay up tomorrow. My end of the bargain...

I'll miss the Bliss™, but that's cool; I'd rather not snake the weeze cuz she loves it.

@rossage, That area is so premiere...I still haven't tagged that summit hiking spur. Must do!

The first ride @mike discussed was the TRT from Kingsbury to Armstrong. Includes above treeline riding and alpine lakes. Bomber downhill with jumps and berms and flow. Basically about half of the current ride he posted.

Tom, as @rossage says it's alpine ST of high quality up to and on the TRT; the part over by Fallen Leaf Lake I have not ridden. Dirty South is a point-point requiring (for me) driving at both ends, one reason I chose to let it slide. I was gonna try to bum a lift back to the start, but it's an easy ~10 mile road pedal back. My ride tomorrow will end at basecamp after being dropped off.

The riders up here are firing on all cylinders to get things developed, and working with land managers (reciprocally) to make it happen above board. The mojo is completely different than down south. It's like CO – most everybody psyched on bikes and their local economic benefit; new trails being built regularly.

If a hooligan wanted to make a trip up, I can hook up some insane trailage. :geek: That run from Freel Peak shoulder is ten miles of, maybe, the best DH ST I've ever ridden. So many other primo XC-centric routes with some spice and technical climbing. The tourist season is waning fast (and the best weather is hitting now), so it's easy to find places to bivy. I'll be here for some weeks to come.

Completely ordinary Whiting-Luge-Whiting run this morning with a random collection of people I used to ride with, including @Danimal. Wahoos at 8:30 (today, Sunday, Sept. 23). We won't be lonely. I'll bring extra water to water down Cactus Trail where they severely f***ed it up!

The Wall has had my name for a while now. The last couple of times I walked it and studied the section where I keep spinning out in the sand. The switchback is really not too bad. It's the part that gets really steep, with the bush on your right as you climb.
Yesterday, without the benefit of spectators, witnesses or hooligans, I was able to make it up the Wall. As soon as I made the switchback, I kept my line high, my chest to the stem, taint on the nose of the saddle, and grinding my fairly new Rekon 2.4s. I made it. Went back a second time to make sure it wasn't just luck...
Now about that 2nd switchback on Strawberry....

Not sure what you mean by a "fall season" but the Palm Canyon Epic is great when the weather is cool - say November through March, or any other time you are lucky enough to have temps stay below 75°.
