I have not hooked it to my truck yet but guessing only the top 8-12" will be subject to the wind. When I stand next to it 5" or so of my head is above the trailer.

Worked on my toy here and there. Got some lighting for it. Secured the tongue box support structure. Did some finish work on the tongue box. Sketched the cutout for the door which arrives tomorrow. Purchased and cut some of the inner wall skins.

Got home today and low and behold my door came a day early. Excitement filled the air. After measuring, to many times. I am terrible at it. Finally got the guts to take the jigsaw to the side of the VTH.

Pulled the cabin lighting, fan and porch wiring. Need to clean up the spagheti and finish insulating, then skin the remaining walls. Pine tongue and groove to finish the ceiling that will add some pop to the carpet interior.

Are you going to wrap it in something like a tyvek house wrap on the outside. Also, what do you coat the underside with?

Underside is sealed with truck bedliner in a can, may also use the same fabric they use on the underside of RV's. The roof will most likely be sealed with an RV rubber roofing material, not 100% on that yet. The sides will just be sealed and painted like a car.

More electrical done, switch mounted to the wall. Gotta get some Butyl tape for the door so I can permanently mount it. And finish the inner trim ring. Then on to the ceiling. Coming along quickly. The last wall I installed is a little squishy due to slightly warped plywood and different sized insulation. Decided to run 2 thinner sheets so I could sandwich the wiring in between. Tryin to work out a solution for the squishy wall. May not be noticable once I get the carpet installed on it. Brainstorm time.

You've got the bug! There are tons of folks out there who enjoy building their own camper/trailers. Google "gypsy trailer" for some crazy eye-candy. Looking forward to seeing it when it's finished!

Starting to figure out the kitchen area. Horizontal 2x4 is the counter support. Vertical 2x4 is the cabinet divider. Door is not sealed permanently yet that is why there is plywood is loose fit.

Hey James, do you think those double roller closures on the back cabinet doors will work once the trailer is moving down the road? I would thing with the side to side movement they'd pop open. Just a thought.

    Looks super cool!

Definitely been mulling this over. I have 2 roller closures on both sides. Not 100% confident in there effectiveness. Looking for other options. The box of the trailer does not flex much if at all. My concern in vibration or big hits(potholes etc).

It will need a lock, looking into options for that also. The battery will be in there.
