If you are a member of Costco go through them. No haggling and in and out in 45 minutes.

Yes. They have an auto buyers program. All the prices are preset. I think we saved close to 10K on our Tundra.

Yep. As with anything, if you look long enough you'll eventually find something. My '08 had 21k miles when I bought it a couple years ago @ bluebook with spendy extras.

I don't care what it takes to get reliability. Once you've owned an unreliable vehicle, you realize the worth. All good now – 100% Toyota.

Until I can live the van life ... 1Up USA for the SUV. For the hatchback sedan, take the front wheel off and throw it in the back (road bike) or both wheels off (MTB). Not too long ago, I acquired another option ... Sea Sucker. Works amazingly well. Ive done 400 miles at mostly 80mph with no issues. Since the back of the car slopes, I can get the bike pretty low so wind resistance and the possibility of low overhangs is minimized. Downside is lack of security, not only for the bike, but for the Sea Sucker itself. Can't leave it unattended, with bike or without. Another downside is, since it's mounted to the roof and hatchback window, I can't open the hatchback with the bike on it.

One thing I think is really cool about it, although I haven't done it yet, is that you can put it in a suitcase if your'e flying somewhere where you're going to rent a bike. You don't have to pay the extra money to rent an SUV.

I still need to get a hitch receiver for the car, though.

    Good idea,
How much do you think it costs to ship from Monrovia to JPL Windsor lot?

I could ship a few days prior to ride day?
