Here's a rare occurrence! An open ride invite for anyone with at least intermediate skills, of less than 50 miles and in L.A County! This is a short notice late-vite but that's better than a non-vite!

It's a 1 mile climb from the parking lot to single track bliss! Mostly hard pack with some rock gardens, mostly short climbs and descents except for a 1 mile down and back up on the Burkhardt section. About 16 miles overall. There will probably be some hiker traffic out to Devil's Chair.

Skill Level: Intermediate, Advanced
Ride Pace: Social Cruise
Type of Ride: Out and Back

Ride Duration: 2-3 hours
Previous Ride Reports: Too lazy to check
Possible Bail-Outs: This is a "T" shaped out and back so we'll be going both directions on all 3 sections of the T. So you can turn back on any of the sections at anytime. Strong beginners can do this ride although they may want to walk some of the harder sections.
Facilities: Outhouse and water at the visitors' center
Food/water suggestions: More than you think you'll need. Temps will be in the low-mid 70's but it will feel hotter and it will be dry!

Hah! I was just telling @Voodoo Tom we need to get up and ride the Punchbowl. This is a great ride with some great views. The singletrack is awesome with some sweet sweet exposure!
I am unfortunately going to be conducting several "put off" honey-doo's (wifey tapping foot) tomorrow or I would definitely jump on this!

I feel your pain...but I put my foot down and said no earlier than two weeks before Xmas.

Oh trust me I totally agree but you know what this woman puts up with A LOT of my stupid sh!t and is a fantastic wife and mother to my son so I'll suck it up and deal with it.

That was a great ride! Probably will be warmer tomorrow! Looks like nobody can make it tomorrow. Should have given more notice or planned it for Black Friday when more people could ride including me. Thanks for diggin' out those pics Luis!
