Might be a good survey question. Frequent posters may make it seem like lots of people are riding hi mileage/elevation. I typically am between 2-3K.

I'd be far more interested in who's pushing the gratification numbers. Let's leave the penis measuring on strava where it belongs.

Oh, but wouldn't it be nice if @mtnbikej would make an attempt to spend time with me and the horses the way I make the attempt to do ride with him.....o_O

I am neither high mileage nor high elevation. For 2017 I will average about 3000 feet per week of climbing, and about 18 miles per week of riding. My challenge is consistency. Some months I bike 10 times, some months I bike once (I see you, April!) I also run about 300 miles per year. For me a 5000 feet ride is a big ride.

My problem is that I wish I could ride the big rides. I would love to ride the Vision Quest or Black Star / San Juan loop. I could do it if I went slow enough. But I can't find other people who fit my fitness profile. I am either too fast or too slow, LOL!

Doubt I can this weekend, but I would be up for a "B" group on some of these rides.. example on this I would start out about when they start maybe a bit later but I would start at Harding... they would catch around 4 corners ride to the Peak with them and then do UHJ/LHJ to wash O'Neil and back etc.. big enough for me.

And I said "B" group... Not the aforementioned "To Be Culled" group...

Thread title makes me think of this...

The video makes no sense and isn't worth the time. Song's OK though.

Please RSVP is you are gonna make it. We roll on time, and I'd hate to leave you waiting at the parking lot if you are a few mins. late.

I’m on the fence. I want to be there but unfortunately or fortunately I am close with all my family so something pops up almost every weekend. I will keep you posted if I’m able to make even the beginning Harding holy jim portion.

I'm planning to be there, and do the first part of the ride (6am - 11am).

I will probably have to be back in HB before noon to coach the mighty "Destroyers" in the epic battle against the "Green Team".
It is a "win or go home" playoff game between the only two undefeated Boys U10 teams - AYSO 117.

I may ride up Silverado/Maple Springs to Santiago Peak and back. I don't have the legs or time to do the whole thing.

What time do you expect to hit 4 corners? Maybe I can time it right to join from 4C to the peak.

If I leave the bottom of Trabuco wash at 6 AM... I will be at 4 corners at 8:59.01... assuming I ride it as fast as the last time I did this loop :)

I am 6 years older... but have been doing a lot more riding... this last week I did a Harding out and back and 12 miles of hill running. But tonight I am drinking beer. Still considering the Saturday ride :) All this talk about people not finishing their beer at the end of the ride has been getting me down... I only bike with drinkers!

So the boss is staying in Phoenix an extra night so it looks like I’m in. I will drop holy him, horsethief or trabuco depending on pace and time.

I bailed on the ride at holy jim and was back at the car around 11:40. One flat on the wash, big nail in my tire. Other than that great ride, just lots of pedaling.
