Thinking of Wrightwood riding this sunday afternoon 1-2ish start time. Let me know if you can join in!! Weather is looking great.

 

I wouldn’t mind joining anyone for a Sunday morning ride. Nothing crazy, just note I’m a slow climber. Thinking I need to push myself, riding with better riders.

Buffalo Creek was a go-to trail for my little crew in the early to mid 1990s. However, none of the Raspberry Ridge area was developed. There was just one segment of the CO trail. It was fun for us at the time, but looking back, seems quite tame. Wheat Ridge Cyclery was my go-to shop - about 2 miles from my house.

Why does any of that matter? Who really cares? It doesn't really matter - but I know that every one of you cares greatly about the details of my past. You are constantly thinking "Just how did Herz become such a mediocre mt. biker? I wish I could be as barely-average as he is!" Now you know.

Back on point - I am seeing a certain rider on a Smash with a huge grin ploppin' off and sketchin' down some rocks in the very near future!
I desperately need to get back there myself.

I'll be riding tomorrow, but I can't decide what I want to do. I need at least 3,084 feet to hit my climbing goal for this month.

Hmmmm......maybe up Harding, to Santiago Peak, down MS/Silverado.

 

What time would you be heading up Harding?

 

I didn't have a planned start time. Weather is supposed to be great. I was thinking park at the tree farm, ride over to Tucker and head up Harding. Wanna go?

 

I'll join for the Harding to the peak part... I'll ride from home and then go to Holy Jim or Trabuco.

 

I'm gonna shoot for 6:30 - 6:45 wheels up from tree farm; 7:00 - 7:15 at the Harding gate.

Hopefully hitting up Monroe tomorrow... It's been a few weeks since I've ridden, it's hard to get evening rides in, busy all last weekend,
But, my tires seem to be holding air and seated well, so fingers crossed

 

Hey, the snow melted and the elk are wailing away this AM. They say Elk Meadow looks good, and I should pedal up Bergen Peak. And you don't want to argue with an elk, so...

When I turn 60, I will celebrate by installing a 60mm stem! Then ride for 60 minutes! At 60 RPM! With 60' of climbing!!!! A guy's gotta have goals!

I've got a bud who lives near Fort Collins, CO. He likes to follow the wildlife around town. I guess it's rutting season for the elk. He was making a short video of a bull that was guarding it's heard of cows. I guess my buddy got a little too close and the bull chased after him a ways. It was hilarious (and scary) to hear my bud cursing and fearing for his life as he high-tailed it back to his truck.

 

Monday spin up Black Star to Sierra Peak.. meeting a buddy at 7am, hope it’s not too windy.

 

Sunday 6PM ride along the Cucamonga foothills with Cyclery USA. I'm buttering up the wife for a hall pass to participate. I explained to her I need to solidify my relationship with the new management at the Cucamonga store, and this is the only way to demonstrate to the staff why I'm such high maintenance...and Shannon Edgmon will be there!

 

Don't know where but I need singletrack! Too much road riding and fire roads! I need chunky singletrack! Please?
