we need to post more, so here goes...

If you see a fat old guy on an el Mariachi tomorrow in O'Neill, Whiting, Harding, or up on Main Divide, or coming down Holy Jim (maybe Trabuco), it's me... Working on a loop that I've been pondering for some time.

All dependent on the weather when I get up in the morning! We had a little rain today; we'll see what the night brings.

I'm honored - and that's a badass loop. Best of luck and I hope the wet conditions do not make it arduous.

    That is quite the loop.
If doesn't rain I'll be out on one of those trails and keep an eye out for you.
But beware, when wet there is camel snot on lots of the trails....

Great... Now it's camel snot. I thought the horses were bad enough!

The weather isn't looking so great right now in RSM...

The trails are closed at O'Neill and Whiting... and 6 tenths of an inch so far at the peak. I think my grand plan will have to wait until next weekend.

I am sitting on the couch drinking my coffee with a glimmer of hope that I can still squeeze in a ride today. Worst case scenario I am on vacation this week! Plenty of time to ride!

Given the amount of rain all night it seems probably a good idea to not hit the trails.
    Next weekend is in though.

Think I'll try the insanity workout today. Last time I got about half way through one and thought I'd pass out. after about 15 minutes
Given that I Mtb regularly I thought i was in decent shape. Maybe I am and it's just I'm getting old

    or I"m not.....

This is what I'm talking about people!!!! Throw in some obscure reference to make people go WTH is that? Sir Rossage didn't get to over 400 posts by holding back until he had something important to say about wheel size or chain lube! Exemplary posting by a true pro.

(And somehow Jane sounds better in that verse).

No,not old! Just bike fit (of course that is a very good thing). Your body is just not used to doing that particular work out like it is your pedaling.

Most of the trails in the San Gabriels are ridable in the rain as they are decomposed Granite.

Since Mikie has only posted 100 times, but he has earned over 1600 thanks, I guess his posts get 16 thanks apiece!

Uhhhh, I think Mikie has posted over a 100 times............today.

Sounds like a great loop for most days. Have fun on it next WE. Bear Spring is flowing enough to supply potable water, if you are heading down HJ.

It appears that Varaxis has discovered that when you post a product on the product review tab it resets your post count back to zero for some reason... That's pretty much a :wtf: !!!

Still planning on the O'Neill- Dreaded in Whiting- Harding- Peak- Trabuco loop tomorrow. Look for a dark blue Salsa if you're out there. I won't be leaving too early... I need those 4 or 5 espressos before I head out.

Although I'm a little nervous about the crowds in Whiting after reading about Herz's fun in Aliso today. This has me more worried than the grind up Harding.
