My boss got both done in K town. I told him it is because they use the same probe for both. Guess which one they do first:inlove:

Because the wife no longer likes the old tile I put in 18 years ago. :( So gotta get rid of it to make room for the new tile....

And a primer - never, ever attach a wood transition piece to an original (late 1950s) hardwood floor with Liquid Nails. :bang:

And I'm a cheap bastard so I'm doing it myself. Again. :gag::laugh::cool:

The wind has changed direction and all the smoke from the Washburn (Yosemite is what we call it) fire is in our little valley.
So, since it is the fire season for us,
I'm not going to get two lungs filled with smoke.

After moving 1,256 lbs of tile into the garage, and scraping 100 sq feet of old thinset, my back is warning me and my right wrist is channeling repetive use injury (wannabe carpal tunnel, but it ain't...just sore).

When you do stuff you haven't done in ages it can be painful. But I still won't pay someone else to do it. :stop::whistling:

Those of you who have met Mrs. DangerDirtyG know she’s the brains behind this operation. Accordingly, she went back to work after a 5-year sabbatical, and the kids went into daycare last week. By yesterday, all four of us were sick (so far all Covid tests are negative), so my Strava Cuppie mission at Bonelli will have to wait.

    Not really.
    Yup.

My vertebrae look like I've been a fighter pilot pulling 6 Gs for a living - all compressed with bulging discs protruding everywhere. So my mission for the past 15 or more years has been to manage that without it getting worse. Well, it's getting worse - starting with the disc explosion that required surgery last January.

I will call a different neurosurgeon for a consult today. I want to see what options are ahead of me.

The Mrs and I made to the gate that was supposed to be closed. We had a cheese and crackers plate she made at the top of the mountain. @ Run with Scissors around the corner was Big John Fats-1 mile away. Marysvale, Utah.

I've ridden that route labeled 153, and some forest roads adjacent. I'd love to ride my bike on some of those Piute system trails, 'cause it's flippin' awesome up in that Utah high country. Some day....

Had the skin cancer excised from my forearm on Tues. Not supposed to do anything strenuous for a week. Normally, I'd say "have you seem me ride? Nothing strenuous going on here!" But yesterday it was clear that I shouldn't be out trying to rip the stitches with every twist of my arm. It still is quite tender today and looks like another no go. Pretty big incision for such little POS basal cell carc. Lotsa bruising around it but not too much swelling, maybe a light tour around the easy trails tomorrow? Never one to do what I am told unless I am hopelessly infirmed.

I had a basal cell removed a couple of weeks ago (eight or so stitches), but fortunately on my clavicle so I rode two days later (not the ten requested by the dr) since the area didn't seem to be "active" when I was riding. Definitely don't want to do anything that will precipitate infection and require meds to curtail.

I hear you. Mine is a 2.75" diagonal across the radius and there is no way to mtb without twisting or pulling on it. Needless to say, I went out today and rode. All was well until the shooting pains started so I headed home. Not much bleeding, I think, hopefully. Hard to tell with the liquid adhesive bandage over it and all the colorful swelling around it.

Cause I'm getting soft in my old age and it's going to be 108° today.
At least I did some yard work before it hit 100°.

New skate day! Never in my life have I had two pairs of skates until now! These 110mm wheels are the 29ers of inline skates. With new bearings, they feel super fast, but I need to wear in a rocker before I start to feel confident.
