Yeah, the HPWREN photos look way close like Holy Jim, not farther away Long Canyon.

F$ck! Looks to be just below the peak.

 

In my pic it looks like it started way down in the canyon, view was from west Ortega highway. I no longer have eyes in it. At least it seems surrounded somewhat by the Holy Jim fire, where not much new growth has happened since 2018.
This will sure put a damper on that area opening up

Unfortunately, there is a lot of fuel still depending where the fire is. The Holy Jim side was almost untouched from the cabins to Main Divide in the last fire. It was the Trabuco side that saw the damage...

 

I know. I did say "somewhat". Just trying to be optomistic!

Judging by the hpwren cam, it’s on the little ridge just east of LHJ trail, above the falls, moving up toward main divide abd the holy fire perimeter. probably started at the falls.

Yeah, the more I look at the South cam, the more Holy jim falls looks like the ignition point. Way too many idiots go there.

No worries. I also can’t believe this is happening again. Fingers crossed this moves toward the holy fire perimeter and not away!

There's a little puff there about 6 seconds in on both views.
Puts the start right about 9:23 ish.
