Hah! I have heard and read versions of this. By far this is the most thorough of them all.
Already the snow is only in the shadows for the most part. Looks to be a two day meltdown (the snow... not me :p)
One of the beauties of our big picture plan was to have a house that provides full entertainment no matter the weather.
The garage / shop is so big we could have an indoor street hockey game inside right now. Our upstairs loft (though not not fully recovered from our move) alone supplies my full time office, a gym, yoga studio, inversion table, a spin trainer, and music studio with a full bath... to boot, Madison County has plans to complete Fiber Optic for the entire county by the end of the year so we have PLENTY to keep us occupied if we are under weather house arrest!

How are you handling the stairs @Mikie ?
If you can climb stairs why don’t they want you to ride a bike?

That's why us mountain folks have a generator waiting. Between the fires and frozen lines, it just part of the life.

Came back on sometime around noon.

I was kind of surprised since the pole down the street on Colorado is still leaning at about 70 degrees

Swamp people can do 6 weeks with no power or water… Barely noticed it. 130 in the house… :p

    Although… I’ll admit I was a little younger then… :p

Pretty easy going up, not as easy going down. Like my doctor said, he’s 1500+ miles away, so what can he really do about it if I ride?
    Oh… my other doctor… Dr. @Voodoo Tom !;)
    May try some trails tomorrow.:D

I guess riding the bike isn’t the issue - just like the stairs - it’s the going down part.

We had a "planned outage," go 15 hrs. last Saturday. It was supposed to end at 4PM. The power came back on around 10:30PM.

@Mikie what's that inversion table do? I'm thinking your back feels real nice after a few minutes on it?

Walked over to wingwalker with the kids for some pizza and beer. Now no power again. But we expected it as the Edison trucks on Colorado as we were walking up the street

I saw Lenticular clouds today out on the 10 between Blythe and Indio... I was heading west

They looked pretty small when I first saw them then as I drove 30 miles or so towards the. They were pretty huge!

Looked pretty much this.. I saw 2 big ones and some other cool clouds.. pretty windy out there..

Ours came back on in the middle of the night... About 26 hours total. Not too bad, but I don't have little ones.

Once again SA winds on my day to ride. Is it ever gonna rain again this winter in SoCal.
Not much since Jan 1, Nothing in the 2 week forecast and chances typically slim down after end of Feb. Dirt is almost summer dry again. Bummifying.

Yes. Tons of snow at the end of December - then back to the driest January ever. This is sad.

Mammothweather.com is calling for the Madden-Julian oscillation to oscillate back to wet in two weeks. Until then enjoy the summer.

Getting plenty of rain here. It rained another inch here last night, and we are not into the rainy season yet. Now I know why they don't have Forest Fires and the place is so dang green. The flip side is the humidity. We'll talk about that later...

Crazy stuff.! Areas of hail up here in Southern Canada as well. Lighting/thunder, steady light rain, and a snow dusting on the San Gabes!
