No like! Hoping it passes quickly.

I've got the weez on board with checking out the snowline tomorrow. I'm sure we can get at least some ST in. Big Chief crosses the road a couple of times. She's never done Happy Face DH, which is likely to be snow free. Itching to get the simplespeed out, woohoo.

Yesterday’s ride dissolved thoughts about Tahoe high county being finished for the season. Hehe… :sneaky::thumbsup:

I could do an early Thanksgiving day Luge Loop or X2 with anyone willing to replace the Flag. I can kick in some cash.
I just need to be home in time to watch the Cowboys kick the Sh!t out of the Raiders.

    Mebbeee…

Last time I replaced the flag (Veterans Day 2020) someone stole it and replaced it with a smaller, cheaper flag.

I think I rode with you on the second half of that ride. Fukin bastards. I would hate to ever come off as a Sh!t talker, but if I had witnessed someone taking down a perfectly good Flag for a cheaper version ... do not record. My tell is when I smile.

I’m getting basted and mashing some numbers out back. Don’t want to slow anyone down, so the weez has to chill with keeks. :)

Looks like the cheapie couldn't handle Sundays gentle breeze. No sign of it.

If you blokes manage to cobble together a lap or two I will stay sober enough the night before to participate.

I am down. I do not know where to get a Flag other than Amazon, but happy to donate some Venmo $$.

I will also not pass up an opportunity to try and learn something from @Lost Kiwi down the Luge.

As much as I hate group rides ... perhaps this should be a thing. :cautious:

Forecast low tonight took a dive, so I revised tomorrow's route to include a bunch of ascending in the first 20 miles. It'll be glorious, nobody around for hours.

What y'all got? It's a holiday, time to celebrate. :sneaky::thumbsup:

@Obsidian and @Lost Kiwi - I am reconsidering the double Luge lap because of 50 mph winds, in favor of something LCWP or Aliso, or both. However, it could be a clusterfuck in either of these places in the morning, due to pre-turkey exercisers.

Yeah, the Luge is no fun in the wind. Well the Luge is fine but the ride to it is no fun.

It wasn't a tough decision to bump tomorrow's ride. Morning low of 12° jumps to 27 Friday. Catching up on work tomorrow.

    Happy Thanksgiving, riders. :)

How is 5-Oaks right now? Last time I rode it - maybe two months ago - it was a disastrous blend of ruts, braking bumps and 6" silt. I am guessing it hasn't really improved.

I was about to go hit the trails right about now (7 am) but got to thinking "everybody who owns a bike or a pair of hiking shoes will be out this morning pre-assuaging their Thanksgiving Day meal guilt." Sooooo - since I am not going anywhere or doing anything fancy for T-Giving today, I will wait until later to ride, when all the other turkeys have begun their meal preparations or local traveling.

So maybe around 11:00 am, unless the winds are ridiculous. LCWP. Who's in?

I will, after 4 weeks of not riding any bike, be riding Saturday or Sunday. Taking the SS out because it's easier to HAB than the Mach 6....
Probably do Hensley Lake or Central Camp road (fireroad) up at Bass Lake something easy to get my body kick started.

It wasn’t too bad I guess…or maybe I’m cynically getting used to the endless drought-shitty conditions and have forgotten what good dirt even looks like. Maybe the rain a month ago helped. I haven’t hit it in a while and looks like some work was done, especially that problem left turn, now a berm paved with natural rocks. Moondust seemed better than last time I rode it in..September?
