This is very cryptic. Please just say what happened. I hope that injury is not as bad as it looks.

 

He was climbing out of the saddle and hit a few boulders that knocked him off his line and down into an embankment. His bones and joint are fine, but the flesh was thrashed and had gravel all up in there. He was well enough to hit the brewery afterwards, but not before we hosed his arm down trying to clean the gravel out. He should take some time tonight to clean it out thoroughly. Many of you HOOLiGaNs have met this guy through Palm Canyon. Years ago, some of you may have been on the ride through there when an old guy rolled up to Dunn’s Desert Oasis riding a red dual crown Foes DHS. Well he’s on a motorized bike these days. Oh well.

I cant recall a prior time he crashed while I was around. But he didn't complain or even act like it was a big deal. I would have taken my bike and gone home right away in a pout. Yea he rides an E-bike...yea he sometimes rides brash...but that one time on the red Foes DHS was impressive, and he's also been the shuttle driver for many of us, and he's personally delivered CrazyBear SWAG to my front door. So he's whatevs in my book.

 

E-bike or not he's a great guy in my book. Glad it wasn't worse.

 

Agreed. He's a great guy. I've ridden with Paul on several occasions. Well, at least he started out with us. I'll admit I've made my share of bonehead moves on my MTB.

 

Me too, but I only run into people I'm friends with or married to.
