Have had over a year with these, so figured I would do a little write up.

First, I'm a huge Smith fan in general. Non luxottica brand, great value, great quality, lifetime warranty, I've actually used the warranty with 0 problems for my casual shades.

First, very comfortable, they stay in place, no fogging unless I stop. Barely know I'm wearing them. The mag system is great, and easy to swap lenses in 20 seconds. They come with 2 lenses. One for bright and sunny, and a rose igniter which is my 90% of the time choice. Perfect for in and out of shade, places like El P or marshall canyon. Balances the bright without making it hard to see trail features under the canopy.

I think these are more suited to road cycling. My usual trails have mixed conditions, and I always get water up under the lens into my eyes.

I can buy the mag max lens... Which has a greater coverage... But I'll probably look for a newer system.

Attack Mag mtb perhaps.. or try a different brand. But with recent LASIK, they don't provide enough protection from small trail debris (even with a front fender)

Smith are my favorite for mtb too. I switch out between the Ruckus, Trackstand and Flywheel, they’re all wraparound almost goggle shape and they don’t let any debris in!

I'm a big fan at the Attack Max and Attack MTB as well. The photochromic lenses are fantastic.

I just found a steal of a deal, I'm questioning of it's legit. I hope so... If not then I'll resolve through pay pal

I found a site that had attack mag mtb and wildcats for$40 . I think they are just leftover stock, I went with the attack mtb, but I think it's the same color as the helmet I sold on here back in the fall.

I haven’t run Smith shades since the early 2000’s but they were nice. Same deal at the time, 3 sets of lenses for a solid price.

we’ve had a connection for Oakley for quite a while, so I hadn’t looked at the Smith’s.

    Yeah, major red flags.
I'm interested to see and compare what I actually receive. I was going to but a cheap pair of something anyway.

Unfortunately for me I kinda gotta wear prescription lenses or crash. Or die.

I've had Oakley Five Square prescription sunglasses for many years now; polarized and wraparound. Totally awesome. Totally expensive ($400+ 5 years ago....:gag:)

But I'd get them again. They keep everything out.

If you're a Mac user, simply open the Terminal application and type "whois www.xxxxxxx.com" to query the internet registration database and get the site's history. There's a lot of extra info, but the creation and modified dates will tell you a lot. The site you bought from did not exist before 3-5-2021.

Ironically... A traceroute of the IP address (they have multiple...) ends in San Francisco. I expected it to be on the other side of the planet. :Roflmao

Thanks. They look pretty good. I'm not a fan of the HUGE glasses that are becoming popular. I'd rather just wear goggles at that point.

Depending on what happens with the possible knockoffs that are incoming... my two alternatives are..

    A) The Attack Mag MAX glasses are the same system (arms/nosepads), but come with a slightly larger lens. Replacement lenses are about $80. This might solve the problem of the dirt/water coming up under the lens.. but it might not

    B) Tifosi Sledge -https://www.tifosioptics.com/sledge/
These are available as custom orders... choose colors, lenses etc. I would probably go this route , with only the one rose colored lens.. probably around $50....

    Alright,

I was expecting at least a knockoff pair of smiths....

    But I got theseIMG_20210521_125621.jpg
    :cautious:

Definitely knockoffs as well... No model number where it should be, packaging is wrong, and the pivots on the arms are on the wrong side.

Smith website has 20% off sitewide and free shipping for memorial day.

I ordered a pair of the max lenses rose. Can use the arms and nosepad of my current glasses, but bigger lens provides more coverage.
