That was my not-so-subtle attempt at re-railing the de-rail that I caused.

I recently had the dreaded cavitation issue on my Fox Float X2 shock. I didn't have enough time during the day to drive down to San Marcos but I did use the Fluid Focus shipment option and sent it to Ryan from my local UPS Store. One week and $180 later, I had my shock back. It rides just like new and the process was very simple. Fluid Focus can be your local suspension shop, regardless of where you live.

All you own is Santa Cruz bikes which have a lifetime frame warranty (right?) so why would you ever need a new one?

Wait - you have a Rail?

How bad do you hate it?

Yea I haven't had it long. I bought it after you did a short review of your Rail. I really like it and it is amazingly quiet and stable in the chunky stuff. I will be using it primarily for the rougher trails and will be taking it to a couple of bike parks on a road trip in early summer.

As I mentioned in my most recent ride report, I have come to absolutely love the bike. I knew it was good when I first started riding it, but I was recovering from injury and wasn't confident enough to give it a proper flogging. Over time, I have just gotten more and more confident on the bike, smiling a giddy smile at the bottom of every descent.

True to its name, I cannot find its cornering limits, and the CBF works as advertised in rough braking bumps that are the nemesis of all rear suspension. Don't get me wrong, the bumps don't disappear completely, and there are still some situations where the bike feels choppy, but it is among the very best I've ever piloted through most situations that overwhelm the suspension systems of other bikes - including and especially noticeable on the upper reaches of 5-Oaks in Aliso. And, it stays active and level during braking. Would I be as enamored if the fork didn't function as well as it does? Who knows. The fork makes or breaks a bike first, and the Lyrik is stellar.

But hey, 27.5 is dead. So I guess I should sell it. :(

I hope your Rail suits your intentions and rises to your expectations. Keep us informed. Oh and post up some pics! If you got the orange one, I am going to be jealous.

Sent my 12 year old, oil leaking, non-dampening shock to FF. About 2 weeks later it was back on the bike and working better than new. Thank you.
I have spread the word in the mountains of central Cali.

Sadly Fluid Focus no longer services x-fusion. Which prompted me to get a used dvo topaz (self serviceable)
