Considering they have a motor, battery, controller, display, PAS system, brake cut-off switches, etc, it would be difficult to manufacture them for less, and $21,500 is considerably more than almost any bike.

 

Thanks for the picture. I've never seen one like that on a bike trail and don't frequent "Jeep" roads much (my wife and I rode on several at Big Bear on our MTB's). I think it's a Stealth Bomber, and have seen them at Bike Kraze in Anaheim.

It's stupid and dangerous (to me). That monstrosity probably weighs 120 pounds and, as you say, couldn't be pedaled if the motor was inoperable. Also, (obviously) pedaling effort is inconsequential when the motor is propelling the vehicle. I heard that at least one state has a law that any two or three-wheeled vehicle with pedals is considered a bike.

What's shakin? I have a job interview with FedEx tomorrow. But about 2 weeks ago, somehow I injured my knee. So I have had a limp for 2 weeks. It's still only maybe 70% for a short time during the day. I'm wondering how is it going to look limping in there for a position like that..

I've been desperately wanting to get on my bike, but right this second I have a bum leg.. I hope you're alright, it's nice talking to you guys

 

You might consider a knee "brace" made with neoprene (wet suit material). Always helped my knee when it had been injured (basketball, which I eschew now).

No doubt the owner was too stupid to feel stupid riding with those real bikes. Probably felt he fit right in and wondered why everyone was tired at the end of the ride.

 

My collar is always dirty from trail dust...

 

In all fairness, he was running the event and providing support. Pretty sure he’s not “that” guy.

Hey @mike ! I drop by every now and then for the gossip lol. I haven't been on my bike for a while. As much as I hate to admit it, and as much as I thought I'd never be "that guy," the ending of my 16 year relationship wrecked me really bad. I try getting out from under the rock, then work took a crap. Riding my bike just wasn't an interest. I don't want to here yacking, having not even been on my bike, so I haven't participated much.

 

Can't believe that someone named -ROCKY- isn't gonna get off the canvas and start kicking ass again!

 

Thanks for the update! A tough situation, I get it. When things stabilize you'll be ble to exercise your options. Until then, forge ahead and don't be a stranger. Cheers!

With the incessant barking of the neighbors' (plural neighbors) dogs, please, those of you that have them....why is this okay? What is it that prevents you owners of same from training them to shut the hell up???

Call the Police non-emergency line and ask for help. This will begin to establish a history of the property and eventually will result in some reprieve. Unfortunately you can’t just eat the damn dogs...unless you take ownership. Good luck!

 

I never owned a barker... until our most recent pooch. A cheap collar off Amazon saved my sanity. And probably my neighbors’ sanity as well.

It worked wonders... immediately. Just a little vibration.

I know that doesn’t help you... unless you buy a few and sprinkle them around the neighborhood.
