I have a Leatt DBX 2.0 and so far it’s been a great helmet. You don’t even know it’s there, which is what you want.

I have a Smith venture. More of a budget mips helmet I would consider in the general "trail" category. Actually, I have two, I'm very near the upper measurement of the medium and lower measurement of the large, and initially bought they large on sale. Unfortunately it kept shoving my glasses down. Picked up a medium back in may and very happy with the fit and comfort.

I have a Giro Fixture MIPS. $65 and fits me well even though it does not have adjustable side straps to move the strap junction points. Breathes amazingly well. Note that the matte grey color is actually white. Plus you are halfway to cosplaying as a Stormtrooper in Star Wars.

Good to know, thanks @Bill. A Giro Montaro is on the short list at the moment.

Going to check out a POC Tectal today hopefully. Found one locally at a good price.

I picked one up last year. By far the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn. I have an odd shaped head and the fit is perfect. It has a high brow so there's minimal contact with glasses.

Im getting to where I should update the helmet. One nagging item is that they often do not play well with glasses. Either the top of the glasses rattle and bump into the helmet, or the arms bump into the helmet behind the ears.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'm going to have to check this out. Just need to find where to try one on.

Looks like I've joined the stormtroopers, tried on a Bell and a Giro as well, this one seemed the most comfy for me. Feels like a real quality bit of gear, the strap adjustment under the ears is a really nice touch as well.

Fully agree. you get used to it rather quickly. I have M/L and XL/XXL and the XXL looks like I turned into a bobblehead.

I took a big digger and smashed my helmet at the white tank mountains. Been a giro guy for years and looking and reading I think I’ll just stick with what works. Maybe another Montaro for me.

Yep just some bumps and bruises and a dent in my helmet. It’s always on the easy spots you crash.

Be sure to try em on even if it's a model you've bought before. Manufacturers seem to change sizing and fit so the same model and size isn't always the same. Glad to hear you're ok!

I actually contacted giro and got 30% off for crash replacement and ordered up a new Source helmet. Just a step below from the Montaro but had the colors I wanted.

I'm discovering my round Bell Helmet does not work well with my round Charlie Brown noggin. No matter what i do to the chin strap to adjust it. The helmet rolls forward and presses my eye wear into the bridge of my nose. Last Bell helmet did the same. It's time for a new helmet... :whistling:

I’m in the “gotta try em on” camp. Went to the Path a few months ago to get a new helmet to replace my Bell Super and ended up getting an iXS Trigger AM. It felt the best on my head and no matter what I always think I look silly when I see myself in a picture with my helmet on.

It doesn’t have MIPS but it looks like they offer it in that model now. But the moral of the story is what works for me won’t work for others unless they share the same cranium dimensions.

Totally agree - after trying on various brands in the LBS, I found that certain brands just consistently fit my noggin better (Bell, TLD and Fox) than others. My only issue is that some brands combine sizes (M/L, etc) to save $ so if you have a medium-size head you get a Lg shell with extra padding (I assume) so the helmet looks huge on your head lol.
I currently have the original Fox Flux and it's a solid helmet but somehow I needed a L/XL (the S/M was a bit too tight) and even my wife noticed how big it is on me...:cautious:

Round Charlie Brown head you say?! Kali Enduro should fit that noggin well. My hubby has a large noggin and the Kali works well for him :)
