I have good tolerance and don't need an extremely varied diet, but am tired of oatmeal (with walnuts) for breakfast. PB&J sandwich today.

I'm tired of consuming all of the BS (Fake News) that is floating around and all of the crime in the world today. It makes me want to regurgitate.
Food wise, I feel lucky to have any food on my table during this crisis.

Plastic bottles. My wife won't stop buying the carbonated flavored waters. Apparently, we hate the earth.

Good thing I like oatmeal (bare) with just some blueberries on top.

But I am getting tired of eggplant. Never did like it.

Having lived on potato chips and cold canned food for six weeks, this is like Club Med. :D I haven't even seen any armed guards roaming the stores in the dark... And the lights and water are on. It's not bad yet.

On the flip side, when all the fresh chicken and meat case items emptied out, there was a surfeit of barramundi, salmon, cod, orange roughy, and tilapia. I'm set!!;)

My wife found this one on the blogs she follows. It has replaced all of the plastic bottles, and has the electrolytes she needs. It's also lower on sodium than some of the others.

Rumor has it that it can be used as a Tailwind replacement for some rides. :whistling: Raspberry is my favorite...

Thanks but my wife isn’t drinking sports beverages or electrolyte replacements, she just likes carbonated water. Sometimes plain, sometimes with flavor. No sweeteners. I do too, but I feel too guilty about the bottles.

kung flu virus talk; the data is there but they refuse to give it. age 18-60? WTF how is this data going to help anyone except those not in the bracket. They refuse to give meaningful info so that we will react as planned. I refuse to consume the news stream anymore

Maybe give Sodastream a try? We have one, and it works great! I drink a LOT of carbonated water, and hated the plastic waste. This uses a returnable CO2 cartridge and tap water.

I got tired of buying bottled water and throwing away a hundred bottles a month.
So installed reverse osmosis in my kitchen and a water softener for the house. Best investment ever. The water is so much better than bottled.

I don't understand buying bottled water other than the convenience. Get a reusable container and fill it from the tap or the refrigerator.

Not because I give a crap about the plastic but because the expense doesn't make any sense. There's nothing wrong with the water coming out of your faucet.

Its potable, but tastes absolutey nasty. Especially in OC with so much recycled water.
Add an RO filter and drink something that tastes like sweet fresh water ( because it is) and Crystal clear too! the ice cubes are perfect for drinks....no sediment at all.

The best tap water I've ever had was in Whistler, damn the tap water was good.

City water won't kill you, but I don't drink it.

Pure water will not conduct electricity. A conductivity meter can give an idea of how pure water is. The other molecules dissolved in the water makes it conductive. R.O. and D.I. water are among the purest, usually giving a conductivity reading around 1 -20 mmhos. Bottled water I've tested usually around 200 mmhos. Fullerton city water 700+, Torrance 1000! What are some of those other molecules? Calcium, magnesium, chloride, chlorine, silica, iron, not to mention the micro organisms. :gag:

    I prefer bottled.

I was blessed to have the most amazing, cold tap water when I lived near Crestone CO. Our own well. Cold, crisp, clear. However, 15 miles away in Moffat, the water in my high school smelled like rotten eggs. I couldn't understand how anyone could drink it.

My wife was smart enough to install a Water Technologies system when we remodeled our house in 2015. As @Danimal described, reverse osmosis and water softener. Delish!

I’m pretty much addicted to Soda stream. Refills equate to $0.25/bottle, so it’s not really saving money. But with a wedge of lemon from the backyard, it’s just about perfect. There’s probably a home refill hack, but really it’s easier to just take the CO2 bottles in to target for a swap. Note that the new small format Target stores don’t do CO2 exchange.

I've read you can take it to fire extinguisher places or paint ball places and get them refilled, but have never bothered. We usually wait till Bed/Bath/Beyond has a $10 coupon and go there.

I've bought flavorings, and they're good as well. I just like the plain more!

I have the very first model they made... The carbonated water goes into the wife’s hydration regimen occasionally. Usually about the same time I get a craving for their diet root beer. :)

Reclaimed water is pretty darn clean. It’s microfiltered, ROd and UVd. Then it’s percolated through the soil. If tap tastes poor, it’s the chlorine, or the pipes, or poor handling by the provider. For that matter, every drop you have ever consumed is reclaimed.
Most of South County’s water isn’t reclaim. It’s coming from the Colorado or from the NoCal aqueduct.
Tap water is Federally regulated, bottled water is not. And most bottled water comes from the tap anyway.
