Also super easy to clean bottles after a ride. I just rinse them out, no washing, and they come out fine.

The only negative I've found is that if you don't have a good water bottle cap, it can leak out over a ride and make a mess on the bike. As with the bottles, easy to clean up, but a sticky mess until you do.

Amazing how 12 scoops in a 22 ounce bottle tastes disgusting the night before a ride, but the very next day on mile 10, nothing goes down better. I do a concentrate this way and chase it with water from my hydration pack.

Nope. It’s a concentrate. Sip it and chase with water from hydration pack. I use it on my frequent 30+ mile rides.

Wow. I thought my 4 scoops was concentrated. I don't think I use more than 1-2 scoops per hour.

Aye. In fairness that’s a bottle problem, not a TW problem. I don’t want any bottles leaking anything...I don’t recall any leakers this century. :geek:

I hope it's the caffeinated. With 12 scoops, though, you need a bigger hall pass from mama. Maybe something in the 300 mile range? :p

I forget who it was, but someone pointed out a few years back that the TW leakage is bad for bottom brackets... I believe it. If I have a leaker, it leaves a gritty trail right to the BB.

Rebuild works..I haven’t tried the coffee flavor, but chocolate and vanilla.

it’s kinda like a gritty chocolate milk. The water ratio they recommend is off. I like it much more concentrated.

rrally only use it after really big rides(WW50, Kokopelli, full days on the bike).

I tried the coffee when it was still in testing and it was pretty good... I still prefer chocolate milk or Ensure after a really big ride. There might be a few packs leftover if you want to try.

The rebuilds are basically a salty Ensure. That works for me, kids are split 50/50 on it.

We're still talking about this? I think we've established that TW is the sole reason you beasts can mash out the 10,000' days that you do.

I done bought me some of the magic elixir. I love that it came in a USPS box hand wrapped with brown grocery-bag type wrapping paper and hand taped by @Mikie himself.

A 30 of Naked, a 30 of Colorado Cola caffeinated and 4 individual bonus sticks of Colorado Cola. Thanks Mr. Watson!

I also love that I ordered it on Sunday and got it on Tuesday. Probably because Mikie hand labeled it as "Essential PPE." :whistling:
    (No he didn't)

Funny thing is, I don't do any rides that require this stuff, so it will last me into my 70s!

TW and carbon hoops?! I don’t even know you anymore... :p:thumbsup:

Liquid food is a useful tool for those with issues with solids. For those that don’t as well. For consecutive riding days it’s extra useful, IME. Before, during and after riding it helps me. Not so much to kill it on the ride (though it helps that), but the instant recovery and elimination of night cramps is enough benefit for me to keep using it.

I don’t use it every ride, so I don’t buy it every month.

I keep taking one packet of caffeinated on long rides and bringing it back unused. It’s my good luck charm. Fact is, the non-caf stuff pushed me through every ride I’ve done with the charm.

    Ahhhhgreed Mike!
"I do not like solid foods on my rides," said Sam I Am.
When I did not know I had a choice, and riding with hardcore MTB'ers, I would haul around with me Clif Bars. Because I did not want to slow the group down, I would not eat, or I would forget to eat. Then it was just a matter of time before I unraveled. Then I became a boat anchor compounded by frustration. The ride would become miserable as I moved into the self conscious mode.

With Tailwind I get all the neat features mentioned, no cramps, better recovery, often times not even hungry after the ride. But the biggest pro for me is being able to fuel all day on the go without stopping by simply hitting on my Camelbak or water bottle. I like the non stop rides (Don't have to blaze, but keep moving all day). That is the biggest win for me is all day fuel.
