I drove through Simi Valley and the SFV on my way home from work this afternoon. It be grill'n out there!

 

Tell me about it! After my class in Newhall I split for home, the temp down there was 109!

 

Left two weeks ago and the weather was beautiful. Come back and it's hotter than the devil's taint on a leather sofa.....


It's raining in the Foothills right now..

 

It was 82 degrees on Highway 138 (Avenue D) and 90th street west at 5:30 this morning in the Antelope Valley.
Right now? It is raining in Palmdale. What the F......?

Went for a run in the light rain this morning. Still warm and humid, but felt good.

 

Hotter than a hot thing here.

Our back yard would have been easily over 100 today. My office at home is currently sitting at 85.

The UK is not built for temps like this. I'd say easily 95+% of houses don't have any AC. Cool change coming tonight after some thunder and lightning. Can't wait!

 

Summer monsoon is upon us, @Mikie. It's a normal thing here. People just forgot with the drought.

bout 102 in the valley at 6pm, now home its 82. it waited until I was almost home before the temp dropped

 

Absolute downpour in Big Bear today and out in Yucca Valley.

 

I just moved to Phoenix and all these temps you guys are talking about are my everyday. When I rode the other night with that group it was 105* at the start and about 95* when we finished.

 

But it's a dry heat....

 

So is a bonfire....

 

Not necessarily. Its monsoon season all over the SW.

 

Yea we had a downpour the other morning and the humidity has been in the 20% range, not the 9 or 10% it was a few weeks ago.


I’ll take 100* in Phoenix over 90* in Irvine.

I'd say they're better at night... But a cheap bug net solves the problem either way. Mine is on the bike until the end of summer.

103 up here in Yucca Valley and I am happy to say that the monsoon humidity has left the building. It was 36% when we arrived yesterday at this time and it is currently down at 12%.

 

WOW! It's 74 degrees here at 9:09pm but we have 64% humidity and not a cloud in the sky! WOW!

It's gonna be an A/C on all night kind of night here.

It was much drier yesterday. What the heck happened?

 

This never happened in Carson City (nearly same elevation) last year.
