So a very interesting sequence. Perpendicular and parallel. The last blast was on the parallel arm and has created some activity at the newest Coso cones. The first plot is magnitude 2.5 or greater in the last 24, the second is all magnitudes, the third a close up of the most recent Coso lava flows. I like the second as it shows all the activity parallel and perpendicular to the San Angelo fault

most people do not believe that there are volcano's near by. Here is two snaps one a closeup of the Coso Cone, the second about 1 mile away, that is 395 cutting across its flank

Hopefully to a family members house unaffected by whatever the catastrophe was...N Cal, WA, ID.
Or depending on the situation, maybe in the Mtns somewhere? I know a few secret spots in our mtns where there’s water year round:thumbsup:

If someone asked me the same question, my answer would be "in the opposite direction of where the quake occurred". Of course, my temporary choice of relocation would have to feature great mtn biking and or great fishing otherwise, fuggitaboutit.

Would a SOS suffice? I'm not much of a gun guy, but that seems like an effective tool.

Mark, I may have said this earlier in the thread.

Dan, I'd agree that Parkfiend shows more activity with it's split streets and sidewalks.

I don't know about that, I know a geologist who works out there and it's the most active area in California.

When there are zero emergency responders available for weeks on end, OO Buck is the load of choice... Actually, I think I had a slug in the chamber followed by 4 OOs. Only had to threaten with it once when we stayed for the first hurricane. Some of my neighbors weren't so lucky, and were picked clean by looters.

870 is a great gun...

But even better, is having a hotel with underground utilities for hurricanes #2 and #3. That was a rough 6 week period.

    #CharleyFrancesJeanne

My house wasn't far from the intersection of all 3 storm paths. Every telephone and power pole within 100 miles of the intersection was destroyed. We drove over them for weeks... Mostly in search of supplies.

    Ha! Great minds think alike.
According to my retired-cop neighbor, just hearing a round being chambered in a pump-action shotgun is enough to set most bad guys running.
Got rid of my other guns, AR-15 and a Glock 20, almost 2 decades ago. I consider the 870 a part of my tool collection.
