East fork of the San Gabe. Bridge to nowhere, passed the cut to Vincent Gap. You went east up to Blue Ridge on the west flank of San Antonio. The Vincent Gap trail would have put you on top on Angeles Crest about 3:30 Pm. You tookScreen Shot 2019-05-14 at 9.27.28 PM.png the other to Blue Ridge which did get you to the Prairie fork road which as you found out is pretty much abandoned but does run right into Holiday Hill then Mtn High. Here is a map

here is a photo from above Vincent Gap, you can see the mine road running down into San Gab canyon. The trail would have dumped you onto the mine road and you would have crested at 6664 feet. Probably without snow.

I was not trying to be harsh. It is a wicked wilderness up there and I am jelly. But that climb over Blue Ridge at night in shorts must have really sucked.

 I didn't take it as being harsh at all. Your info is great input. It really did help me make sense of the area and where I made the wrong turn.
Blue ridge at nite, wet and cold did suck at the time. However it feels pretty good now that everything turned out ok.

Don't think I quite got it - but what was the original goal of the hike?
East Fork to Bridge to Nowhere and then on to Big Pines?

Well it went something like this. I woke up looked outside and saw the cloudy skies. I checked the weather app and was informed it was to remain cool and overcast. This is when I decided to go do a quick 10 mile trail run into Bridge to no where and back. I made great time to the bridge and felt great when I got there. I started talking to the bungie guy and asked him how far past the bridge does the trail go. He says, 8 more miles to highway 2 by Wright Wood 13 miles top to bottom. I say that's like half a marathon . Then I say if you went up and back it would be a marathon. He laughs and says if you do the whole thing I'll buy you dinner. So I took his picture a picture of there Business card and set out on up the trail. Like I said in the videos, I made alot of bad decisions that day.

Running a half marathon, and running a half marathon in the mountains are two very different things :)

Of course there is this crazy trail runner I see on Harding every now and then who can almost beat me on an out-and-back on my bike. He does Harding (18.5 miles and 3400 feet) as a training run in 2.75 hours(!). That is as fast as my best half marathon pace on a flat paved course!
