Who's Riding Where???

I HATE the nets almost as much as the bugs. I can't tell you how many times the net got caught up in low hanging brush as I ducked under, plus, I sucked the net into my mouth more times than a .... wait, I don't like where this is going...

That said, once I hit the massive swarms of flies, I was nearly ready to kill myself and everyone around me (not in that order) BEFORE I donned the bug net last time I rode GE. Truly horrifying. The bug net saved me and all those near me. And, I believe I gave my extra net to one of the few female IMTBers that day, or maybe it was at Wrightwood. Thank God I ran into @mountaingirl sara before I hit the flies, or we would have come to fisticuffs!!!

FWIW, Lower Holy Jim, when it was still intact, had by far, the worst fly issue I have ever seen at the top where it meets that shuttle road, ummm,... Motorway.

That was Main Divide. Motorway is a trail on the other end of the mountain. Neither should be shuttled.

You sound like a city girl on her first camping trip. The big outdoors has bugs. As a suggestion, you could get a bug zapper and hang it on a stick in front of you...

If anyone is riding Santiago Oaks or Maple Springs and doesn't mind a tag along sing out, I'll be in cruising mode as nursing a few stitches at the moment.
I'm keen to ride both Saturday or Sunday.

We're melting out from the "bomb cyclone." Should be messy but ride-able this WE on the Front Range. The Weazl's pleasure, whatever that is.

I'm leading a path shop ride through LCWP tomorrow. Leaving from the ridge park gate at 8am if you're looking to join. I'll be in a path jersey on a grey giant trance 29.

Next weekend or the weekend after next I'm going to ride to Sycamore Canyon from home. The route will be up and over Albertson to Space Mountain and on to Sycamore and back. Not sure on mileage and elevation but it should be in the 70 miles and 7-8k feet range. Worst case my legs are tired and I take surface streets home. If any of you death march riders are interested I will set a date and post it. Though I'm guessing the pace will be a little faster than a march.

Where would one find an LCWP? How long do you think you will be out for? I could be keen
