Darn it, looks like rain this coming weekend.

 

Should be some nice, dry, snow falling...

 

I bet that's happening at this very moment!

 

Well, since it is snowing below the KB saddle, that's a really safe bet.

 

The forecast keeps flipping back and forth from rain to no rain. Still going to be cold.

 

I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines. "Sidelines" being somewhere less cold.

 

It's just a couple of hours of mild discomfort, hypothermia, and frostbite.
Then you turn the heater on blast in your vehicle!

I was checking weather.com Mt. Wilson, 8 miles from Chilao. Temperature is warming up, only a low of 30°.

 

Have you considered postponing the BDay ride until slightly warmer weather?
Call me a woos but I froze my azz up there on New Year's Day. Going for a repeat is just not sounding... exciting.
I want to be at the Trail Slayer BDay bash, but also want to enjoy it along with the excellent company.

Just rode up there in the cold. 30-35°F. Without the gale-force winds its not too bad.

Dropped briefly into the 20s and I wished I had something warmer for my butt! Maybe a @Mikie hug!

4WD with snow tires.... Tough guy!

 

Now a high of 32° Snow, wind, road closures... we were crossing our fingers it would warm up a little but it just aint happening. Probably best we pull the plug on this.

 

Might want to default to a front range run if you want to hit the San Gabes. Very doable, even in the rain.

 

This doesn’t sound like TrailSlayer etiquette (says the guy who won’t be there).

 

Just to confirm the ride is cancelled/postponed.

 

Trust me, Vince would still go, he'd just like others to join as well.
