All I know is that's a good looking Yeti he threw in at the bottom of the email. :) (Too bad I don't have it anymore :( )

The multiple rider registration has been around, but you'll need to coordinate. He has to have each rider's information at registration, you can't just purchase 3 registrations and then hand them out.

Hahaha I'm going to train for the climbs. I meant the other stuff. Florida has a ton of sand and roots but not much else. Either way I'm going and I may be slower but I'm still going to finish.

There was a hill (large bump, really) on Highway 27 about a half hour from our house. I'd be out there doing hill repeats if I still lived there. :D:p

What's the cancelation policy? Is the registration transferable?

    CANCELLATION POLICY
    MARCH 15

Final cancel date - You may cancel anytime by March 15 for a full refund minus a $40 processing fee. After that follow the schedule below. Trip spots are not transferable to other riders or events.
    • March 16 or sooner - full refund less $40 transaction fee
    • March 17 to April 6 - 50% credit towards next year
    • April 7 to April 20 - 30% credit towards next year
    • April 21 or later - 20% credit towards next year
"I just broke every bone in my body, can my buddy take my place on the ride?"

Nope, sorry. You may cancel your registration anytime before the cancel deadline for a small fee. After that you're committed.

The reason we can't bring your buddy in your place is complex but it boils down to risk management. Most folks would jump at a last-minute paid trip in the desert even if they aren't prepared for it. And while we're flattered, that person can pose serious safety concerns to themselves & the group. Would you really want to be out there with sloppy risk management?

You're welcome to call & ask if your pro-racer-buddy can take your place since she's the strongest cyclist on the planet & can finish the trail blindfolded with pneumonia and a hangover. The answer will still be no. Sorry, it's policy.

If you have any doubts please cancel before the deadline, after that we're married.

Great! This means you already have a BikeReg account for Strada Rossa. It'll make the sign-up go much quicker. Which distance do you want to do? :whistling: :D

Not sure if they provided gps files or not. I think they recommend this guidebook http://bikerpelli.com/kokopelli-guidebook/ and paper maps but I don't think that's necessary. I'm sure one of us could email you the gpx files for each day.

I've done the trip twice and haven't gotten lost yet. First I just followed @Mikie the whole way. Second trip I just followed trail markers and pre-ride directions (which are awesome). It's fairly easy to tell if you're off trail as there will be 90+ riders with you and the trail is well marked. But it may be a good idea to have the maps they offer on the website, I've seen several other riders using them. Hope this helps.

I just updated my calendar and I realized that I'll be stuck in a gigantic aluminum tube somewhere between Taiwan and LAX when the registration open...... Somedays, no matter what you do, you end up pissing into the wind.
