@Cyclotourist I saw him at CVS a couple days ago, but he left before I could ask.

I'll have to check out the video. Glad he is still relevant in Mtb. He was a great ambassador of the sport - until he went e-bike.

 

Pretty fun video to sit down and enjoy. A lot of familiar spots on it! A bit of an extended e-bike advert.

I thought the eBike plugs were stoopid and unnecessary. I assume he got paid to say that. But I liked the video. Missy is still “out there”...

 

It was funny that they bleeped her F bombs at the beginning, and then simply said F it and let Missy be Missy.
Whilst Prophets were dropping their own in the background.

 

Yep these people are good riders, but I have realized that I ride wrong, or I’m not having as much fun as I should be? Does anyone know if there is a good, or best how to skid a trail vid I can check out to learn to skid the trails like they do? It just looks so fun! I think this will be my new riding style once I learn to do it. I don’t know though looks pretty rad!

 

Hah! I “was” going to say something. Like, those are the only tricks they got left.
Skids are so outdated. Maybe that’s what they do on eBikes to slow down...

I skidded this weekend... on purpose! It was on a fire road. I wanted to be cool amongst my peers...

 

Well I hope you left a sizeable rut? Did yah feel the coolness! Peers, was he cool......? Well of course you are!

 

I saw it and heard it. It was magnificent. He was so cool, I shivered! Then he did a pop-a-wheelie!

 

No rut! I wasn’t that cool. It was minor loose over very hard pack. It did make a cool sliding tire sound, though... I felt really cool.

 

I had to skid... Chris was there. He’s much taller than me so I totally look up to him...

 

Most people do...literally. Not so much figuratively.

 

There's two kinds of skidding:

1) The type of skidding that is repeatedly done in the same track on turns which grooves out the turn/trail

2) The type of skidding they were doing which is leaning forward ever so slightly to lighten the rear end.

The loose dusty trails made their skidding look worse than it really was. It was playful skidding/whipping the rear end.

 

I’m all for a good time but showcasing riding urban places that don’t allow bikes sure isn’t good advocacy for cycling.
