Nice bike! Too bad it didn't work out for him. Anything with 853 tubes is a plus in my book!

Carbon fork, though, just doesn't do it. They need a real steel fork like Kona.

It would be the perfect commuter for you. The steel rides so nice. If it were at 56 I would be tempted.

I'm okay with that... it's the tapered head tube that makes it look awkward though.

But my Les is the perfect commuter almost, and the Ripley ain't bad either and sh!t the fluffy Hightower is fun sometimes too:Roflmao. Still want a gravel rig though. As you know lots of hammerheads around here ride em and I'd love to join em. They all ride them light fast ones though. I really like the idea of bags and racks so I wouldn't need to carry my pack every day. I'm gonna show it to the wife and see if I get hit with a frying pan.

@Voodoo Tom if you're serious, you'd be hard-pressed to do better than the Sutra LTD. Close second would be the Salsa Vaya. Really. Is it light? Hell no. Will it go anywhere you can go? Hell yes. 'Nuff said. :whistling: And on top of all that? It's a fun bike.

This will fit in right below the Les, you have an empty spot there! And then you can properly align the tires on it!

Recently picked up a base model Diverge. It was fun riding the streets from my home 20 miles, hitting singletrack for a couple of hours, than riding home. The do everythingness is fun. Would I like it MORE if it was a nice model? Yes, I would. But I also like not having to worry about it locked outside the store when I go shopping.

I can't stop looking at this and now @Sidewalk tells me it'd be a great bike to run to Walgreens for a twelver:confused:. I'm a mountain biker and prefer 780mm wide bars and have exactly 0.0 seconds of drop bar bike experience. Still there's a reason I keep looking(other than it'd probably be a good odd day commuter). For the last couple years I've had this idea. You see aside from my best pal @Mikie my father in law John Cavey is my other best friend. He lives up in Canada and own's the local pizza parlor/watering hole. I've been wanting to saddle up from the house and ride up the old ridge route to the 138 to Gorman Post Road to Frazier Mountain park road in to town just to surprise him and and have a beer or six. Should be 55 or 60ish miles and 6 or 7k one way. Have the option of staying the night or rolling home the next day. Only about a 4 mile stretch of the 138 makes me nervous. Seems like if that's the only ride I ever did on it it'd still be worth it. I'm really fighting the urge for some stupid reason. DDD I'll probably be calling you in the morning.

This would be a good tool for the job! And really no overlap with your other bikes. It'll be a lot different even from the LES. Throw on some 45mm Riddlers, and you'll love riding it!

Killer bikepacking rig for Great Divide-type stuff. Cool bike for a lot of stuff, really. Top tube and under downtube cage mounts, dig.
