Now that the kids are all grown and moved out, I REALLY miss picking through their evening haul for choice candy.

 

We have opted to stay in and watch spooky movies tonight.

My daughter has grown out of trick-or-treating and we live in a secured complex. She does dress up for school on Halloween, though.

So, I guess we are being unsocial tonight.

Wife and I are sitting on the porch passing out candy. Adults with two month olds- yea that candy is for the baby

 

Wifey & Nick are out with a big group of his friends hitting the goods and I’m holding the couch down with Rusty. Only one trick or treat’r so far and two big Costco boxes of full size candy bars. If another kid shows up they are gonna score at least 50+ of em...

 

once again..not a single trick or treater.

Laguna Beach closes off Oak and Brooks streets for about three blocks each. The residents of those street decorate their houses and hand out candy. It's a really cool event every year, with some houses going all out.

They held a costume contest with about 25 impromptu entries - all very good. My daughter got third even though the woman on the microphone had no idea who she was supposed to be, and neither did most of the crowd. Teenage Harry Potter fans knew though.
