Ok... When you tried the 100, how were you doing on the cutoffs?

Looking at the results from last time, the last 100 miler was done in 10:22:00. That's a faster pace than my 50 mile run.

I missed the cutoff after Zen by about 15 mins....but they weren't really stopping anyone. I bailed when my fork went south....but they would have let me continue.

After Zen lap 2, the course gets easier.....at least less technical.

I am planting the seed in the wife’s brain for this one. Love to bring the trailer up there and do a Thursday to Monday stay. Looks like an amazing camping trip with an incredible bike race thrown in.

    I'm gonna bunk with @Cougar!

He moved there solely to get revenge on last year.

There is plenty of chunk there for your 160mm bike.

There is plenty of fast and flow for your 160mm bike.

There is plenty of gradual climbing for your 160mm bike.

    I'll be on the SS.

Noted. Let the training begin. :whistling:

Blackstar-Motorway - Maple Springs-Motorway figure 8 Saturday morning from the Tree Farm. Who's with me? Oh - the hell with that, I'll start from Wahoos and add in Whiting and Santiago Canyon Rd. 4:00 am start.

IF you are starting from Wahoo's.....probably just start by going up Harding-MW-B*-MW-Santiago Canyon-Whiting.

I'd join, but some of us will be suffering in WW.

OOOOhhhhh that sounds fun! But then, I would miss Maple Springs. Can I go back up Maple to Joplin, then out via The Luge?

    It's on my calendar.
    50/100 TBD

In the past CC/VQ was my "motivator" through the winter.
In 2019 this one might be race #1

I would say the 100 is harder than VQ. At least you have an idea of what you’d be getting into.

My gut is saying "let do the 50 (44) again", but if my winter training include a few "J Epics" I might push it beyond my comfort zone.

I’d like to get the 100 under my belt.....but the thought I’d doing the 50, then being able to ride Sunday and Monday in the area sounds like more fun.

Come on down @herzalot ! I can't imagine I won't do this in '19. I've done it the past two years, and I have to take revenge for my failure last year >.<

Ok, it's official......I'm in for the 50 this year......and to mix it up, doing it on the Hightower. Consider it a test for how I'll do on Kokopeli.

Suz is in for the 15 mile Challenge.

I see @Cougar is already registered.

It seemed so wrong not clicking the 50M SS Option.

It was talked about doing the 100 on gears and suspension, but I would rather ride the next couple days after in St. George.

I registered as well (most likely under ThinkMTB).

This year registration was a little "different"..... almost felt like a scam.
No link to share on Facebook and other sites. Confirmation from an unrecognizable email... I didn't fill very assuring.

That is the reciept we got last year.

As long as you registered through the TrueGritEpic website, you are good to go.

There was a link on the final registration page that allows you to link to FB.

I saw the Facebook link, too... And looking at the Lapio website, they also handle the timing during the race. The instant notification was pretty cool last year.

Lemme know what you guys are going to do the next few days @mtnbikej @Faust29 - I might not have the legs, but maybe I will!
