I have no idea what that is, but it sure looks fancy and expensive.

    And, what's a garage?

Woohoo another chip chucker like me. That’s a big ass garage. I’m guessing it’s not a hobby? Love Fadal’s and their reliability and low repair bills. That said our shop has 2 of them along with 10 or so Haas machines.

Haha yea, what do you need? I have a smaller one now, but finally upgrading. This was so clean I couldn’t pass it up.

I love it. It’s a hobby/side gig. That pic is still in its current home. Should be finalizing this week and then sorting out shipping it from NorCal. I’ve used my buddy’s Fadal and was also seriously looking at Brothers, but this is really clean, has a few extras like a MistAway and is from the original owner with low hours and all maintenance and records.

Cnc is soo cool we now hold +/-.001 at no extra cost. Funny because most prints still use +/- .030 and .010. Time to wake up America

Also had a new garage door installed. Insulated door with a side mount opener. Would highly recommend Dusty's Garage Doors.

I think making some IMTB bottle openers might be a good test run for the machine.

I'm a little jealous.....nothing but conventional machines over here (one converted mill - ProtoTrak). I am going the other way too. A few items are heading to my garage, but I've sold off 95% of my shop and it's time for a little more riding and travel. Kinda scary, kinda exciting, kinda.........we'll see. Looking forward to life as a landlord.

Congrats on the purchase. Smart idea to insulate those doors. 10K rpm is an annoying sound to non-machinists.

How about some top caps too? Could do bike rack wrenches with bottle openers similar to the Thule ones, sky is the limit here. I have a little space in my garage to run distribution and store inventory. Just don’t tell my wife.

If you guys want anything, feel free to post up or contact me. I like making stuff like that. For member stuff cost would be minimal/free depending on material costs. If it’s a tool or something that could be sold I’m always open to discussing arrangements or doing design and small run stuff. I enjoy helping the little guy that doesn’t have access or know how to get stuff made. A lot of my business is helping people that get turned down at machine shops or crazy quotes.

Slowly, he stands up from the dinner table. As he wipes his hands, he proclaims to the family, "I'll be out in the garage making some single speed dropouts for my friends..."

If you have the file and someone can laser etch the logo or print it, I'll slap some cool powder coat on them to make them pretty.
Candy blue with IMTb laser etch would represent the colors nicely.
I don't normally take non-commercial jobs but this would be an exception

I can engrave right in the mill, multiple ways, although a laser is on my wish list. I had one before, but it was old and had to sell it just because it was way too large. The newer technology ones are tiny. It's pretty ridiculous.
