eBikes on MTB trails are like jet skis in the wedge...

Nothing good will come of it

 

That was tough to watch.

 

I loved the part where the body surfer hops on the jet ski and tries to start it up and drive it away That would have been classic - after the initial two riders were wiped out and nearly drowned due to inexperience and hubris.

 

An air mattress at the wedge....

 

I am 2" shorter due to a wedge drilling. Knocked unconscious. No one dragged me out of the shore break. Tough mother-effer waterman that I am, I rescued myself. Cured me.

 

That was pretty crazy, boat 43 went in real deep there. I've seen them get big air flying over waves getting out of the pit like that.
I had a few rescues at the Wedge, mostly stayed dry, just pick the poor people up off the sand.
Back when jet skis were allowed had a guy go backwards over the falls on a 12 ft day at the Point. I actually did use his jet ski during the rescue. It was still running and circling. Grabbed him and the ski and raced into the beach over by the pier. Long run back to my tower.
