Via gearpatrol? Isn't that kind of a "buy this," site for the GQ crowd? It looks nice but the stigma of the Diamondback brand...Can you peel off the stickers?

My first bike was a Diamondback kids BMX bike.. On my 4th birthday my parents took me to pick it out and my dad let go of me from the top of our driveway and I pedaled around the cul de sac for a good hour. No training wheels, no helmet, no spills that first day.

With the standard 10% off sweetener, that takes it back down to $4,400.

Yup, the VPP patent ran out, so DB cloned the 5010 and went direct to consumer. It's a lot of bike for the money, perfect for the first timer that balks at seeing the LBS's prices.

Not with 130mm rear travel. But still, it looks very capable - and it's spec'd with a Fox 36 150mm, so its intentions are more Bronson-like even if its rear end isn't.

It's sort of a 5010 on steroids... Which makes sense from a product positioning standpoint, considering the SC 5010 is positioned in the same "family group" as the Bronson- sort of the Baby Bronson of the lineup. This sets it apart a little bit, so it isn't a 1 to 1 copy.

I dig DB’s. My first “pro” BMX bike was a 1985 Viper!
