Umm yeah, beyond rampage terrain.

 

If you look closely.....you could probably see my tire tracks.

 

I think I saw them....and there was absolutely no danger of me catching up.

 

I see them! I see them! There is still smoke coming up out of them!

 

If he just ran plus sized rubber at low psi his tracks would be so much easier to see.

 

His power on Plus tires?! Heck, he'd rut the trails out in no time just spinning the cranks!

Sorry I missed this...That new, (for me) dirt was in O'Neill. See the arrow? Ridden by it plenty of times, just never went there before. For some reason, the only time I go to O'Neill/Arroyo Trabuco/Tijeras/Santa Anas is when I'm demoing a bike. It will be interesting to take a familiar bike down there someday.

Vaguely reminds me of some of the buildings near Hunt Ranch or Hi-up house in Wildwood Canyon

 

Where is that at? Sounds like a good spot!

 

It's in Yucaipa on the way out to Oak Glen. I think one of the RSRs might have gone through there. There's almost no way you haven't ridden by it.
10 east, exit Oak Glen Road, R on Calimesa, L on Wildwood Canyon, L on Canyon drive. Go till the road ends, park, (Or keep riding, if that's how you got there,) and follow the fire road up to the old abandoned ranch, (Hunt Ranch). Mind the bees. The Hi Up House is into the canyon off the east up on a bluff, IIRC. If you keep following the fire road north past Hunt Ranch, (Which I haven't done,) it eventually connects with Oak Glen Rd a few blocks east of the Staters on Bryan. I've only hiked it, but I've seen tire tracks out there. Probably nothing worth going out there just to ride, but as part of a gravel ride, or just an all day ride, it might make an interesting detour.
The more I think about it, the more I think you're pulling my leg. I'm sure you've ridden through that.

Got it, thanks! I have never heard the name of the ranch, but definitely know the place! I was wondering if that was the same Wildwood I know, but thought it might be like "Sycamore Canyon" and there being multiple ones about!

I never realized that so many of you guys considered SLO town ( The Central Coast) a vacation destination. I tell ya what, it's a beautiful place to live but you gotta know somebody to ever be anybody in that town if you ever plan to make it there (unless you show up super rich already, lol!).
