Palm Canyon Epic Shuttle. This is the entire shuttle route which is roughly 27 miles and 2200-2500' of climbing. If you have never done this before, don't let the numbers fool you, it is harder then the stats suggest.

That being said, it's one of the best rides in socal. Ride it with a group that knows the route and knows what to expect.

I can attest to this. We hit a little over 3000' on our day and I cramped up solid at about 2500'. It felt nearly double with all of the punchy climbs in the early going. When I did it, the wash was more like a gravel road with excellent traction, but it was still a climb that added up and took its toll. I would've been gassed much earlier if it was its normal nasty conditions. Some really great sections out there. Well worth the effort.

Please let me know here or via PM if you are signing up. That way I know if I'm leading a group or just doing this ride as a two man wolf pack with my buddy.

Yes. Haha, this is one of those rides where you just be ready for everything. You want light drizzle (or recent) up to the end of the sand wash... then you're praying for nice warm temps for the rest of the way. I'll start the day wearing a jacket i'm sure.

No worries, it's NBD to do your own shuttle if the crew is small.

Yeah I'm not worried about it, it makes things quite simple for my buddy and I. I just make sure to bring extra supplies if i'm guiding a bigger ride.
