A few years ago I cracked the frame on my 2002 Giant AC. Long story short, it was warrantied with a new Trance frame through Fullerton Bikes. Recently Vince found a crack on his 3 year old Trance X where the head tube meets the down tube. I'm so proud, his first cracked frame!

Reported the situation to Mike at Fullerton bikes, where I purchased the bike. A week later Giant issued a replacement. No questions, no charge.

When they say Giant for life, they mean it. Thanks Mike at FB and Giant. You guys rock! Vince will be building this up soon.

What parts will he be building it up with? Upgraded fork? Shock?
    Just curious. Miss my Giant.

Since he has had the bike he has made some upgrades. The upgrades have already been parted out to another build. This warranty replacement frame will be built with some of the original parts such as Giant/DT wheels, Giant bars, Fox 32 fork. The rear shock is blown so a rebuild or replacement is needed. Also need a crankset and brakes. Other misc. parts will come from my spare parts warehouse (cough, garage). Wants to build it more towards the light side for a fast XCish bike.

Where/how did you crack your 2002 AC? I have the same Bike, and it has taken a beating.

Cracked the support weld between the chainstays. Funny thing is in 2002, Giant did not provide a lifetime warranty. My AC came with a 5 year. 10 years after purchasing the bike I noticed the crack. I figured I got my money's worth. But the guys at FB said bring it in. Giant gave me a new 2012 Trance frame.

I think this is where I should chime in that although I have not broken my frame, or needed any other warranty service, my 2015 Giant XTC has been awesome. It just flat out does what I want it to do. I'm guessing if I ever breaks it I don't need to worry.:thumbsup:
