Should be able to make this ride, since the other ride got cancelled. This would be another first for me, miles and elevation sound good.

I'm in scan even though it's against the old, lazy guy ethics code to wake up that early on a holiday ! What route do have in mind?

 

I'm open, we can vote on it! (it won't be fixed). Thinking of up to mtn high, blue ridge then table mtn, or SOT up to guffy area if you think it'll be clear (wink wink).
Then over to J. lake area, down boy scout.

 

The BB Monday trip was cancelled.

The Sunday Skyline crew trip to BB is ON, though.

 

I'm apprehensive, the time of your ride brings on a bit of anxiety, I'm a bit afraid of bullying also, specially from maddog or any others, I ride a 26" tire that is pretty much not wide enough, no boost, my gearing is all wrong! I'm not sure what to wear? And with such an inadequate set up how will I ever set any records on strava? The only thing I may own that is current is tubless tires, is it ok to be clippless anymore? I just don't know If I can hang with the cool kids? Well I guess maybe I should just stay home .

 

Come on now H^B, you'll fit right in! I do run 27.5 tires but I have 2 chain-rings (not quite as bad as your 3 but still not cool), an old school wireless computer with no gps or strava, I'll wear a plain blue jersey I got at the dear, departed Supergo and worst of all, I still have tubes in both tires! And I promise, no bullying about your height, your bowl-full of slimy breakfast gruel or your Popeye arms! Remember, the nuns may be hiking up there! We may not be the cool kids but we'll have a Revenge of the Nerds ride! So roll on out of your pillow case on Monday morning and ride with us geeks!

 

I'd fit right in on this ride..I'll have to see if the gods (wife) will allow such a thing to occur. I've never ridden up there.

There is a skyline crew for Sunday and there's a skyline & Snow Summit bike park crew for Monday still.

Is there a specific parking lot i am looking for @scan at Jackson lake? I know how to get there just making sure I find the meet up spot thanks" Albert.

 

I'm thinkin' @Mikie just said he can't make it...that doesn't cancel the ride. Though it wouldn't be as much fun without him...

The ride is on! I just don't want to drive that far on a holiday weekend. But next weekend could be in the cards...

I'm guessing you'll be coming down Big Pine Hwy from Wrightwood heading north. scan is correct, there is only one official parking lot for the lake. That lot is on the opposite side of the lake than the road. When you first see the lake on your left there is also a small, turnout parking area for an outhouse on your right. Go past that to the north end of the lake and the sign and entry drive for the lake will on your left. It will come up quick since it's a small lake. How's that for confusing detail! Won't get that on gps!

Edit: Two bottles of wine with dinner and my wife decided that we're riding our bikes over to Huntington gardens in the A.M. So.....

 

Strongly suggest bringing gnat nets, just in case...
