    This is a little worse than the girl I saw repeatedly cutting the course at Temecula... o_O:confused:

    Ultrarunner loses title after cheating by hiding

    Ultrarunner Kelly Agnew lost some of his titles after it was discovered he was hiding in a Port-A-Potty to win races, one race announced.

    He was first disqualified from the fixed-time event in Arizona called Across the Years race, after an investigation discovered he was not running a complete loop of the course. Race officials became suspicious over the years and finally tracked him at this year's event.

    Agnew went “back at the start/finish staging area after completing a lap, spending over seven minutes in a portable restroom and then 'completing' the lap and going on for his next without actually running the mile plus loop.”

    In a Facebook post, the race announced Agnew was disqualified from the 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17 runnings after inconsistent date. He had placed first in past events.

    Beyond Limits Running posted a response to the matter in their own Facebook post, saying Agnew was disqualified form the 2017 Beyond Limits Ultra 48-Hour Race and the 2015 and 2016 Jackpot Ultra Running Festival 24-Hour Races. But he would not be banned for life.

    Agnew hasn't responded to the allegations.;

    How can you ever feel like a winner if you know in your heart you cheated?

    Right? I don't get it at all. An Ultrarunner suffers for the sake of suffering. Prizes are supposed to be secondary or not a part of the formula. I can't imagine the warped psychology that would bring you satisfaction from cheating - especially like that. Not even French Enduro riders would stoop that low.

    At least Lance still had to go out there and put in the effort... And the playing field was probably level. Still cheating, but not like this guy hiding in a shithole...

    A woman was caught cheating in some marathons. She adamantly argues that she didn't, but it was obvious from the data that she did. In her case, not winning. But I'm pretty sure it is a mental disorder.

    But, then again, I see people racing XC in a class lower than they should. Today at Fontana, there were guys with times that were closer to the Pro class winner, than second place was to them in their own class! Yes, they put in the work, but is it fun to beat your rivals by nearly 10 minutes?

    (yes, all of them are faster than me)

    I don’t see any difference between doping/lying and hiding in a shitter. :unsure:

    I get it - morally, cheating is cheating. But on a relativity scale, one might justify doping as "everybody is doing it," then you still have to go out and suffer in the race(s). To hide in the shitter, then come out and claim your reward is a whole different psychology. The morality is the same, the psychology is very different.

    Mixing English and metric! Pick one please. :/

    Why bother to enter a race if not for the fun and see how you measure up to others in your class.

    In one of the 12 hours races in Temecula, I had a lady single speeder who kept ending up in front of me on the same lap after I passed her... That was a real WTF moment! She was eventually DQed.

    My thoughts exactly. How shallow of a person. Can you envision him getting the congrats and shaking hands with his competitors, him looking them in the eye knowing he cheated?
